Mangalore, May 27: Two sisters from Mangalore, who, from a tender age have been well-known for their magic tricks, have found a place in the illustrious India Book of Records, thus making the district proud at the national level.
The youngsters, Apoorva Mali and Anjana Mali are the daughters of well-known magician couple Rajesh Mali and Shubharaj. They have been performing since the age of one-and-a-half years.
Apoorva was born on July 14, 2006 and has presented more than 400 shows in various parts of the country. Anjana who was born on January 16, 2008 too has presented more than 300 shows.
The India Book of Records has declared them as the youngest skilled magicians.
"India Book of Records which is based in Haryana has honoured Apoorva Mali as the youngest skilled magician and Anjana Mali as the youngest magician," said renowned magician Kudroli Ganesh, while addressing the media.
"At present these are the only kids who perform magic. As their parents are also magicians, it has been an added advantage for them," he said.
These children are students of Canara High School (CBSE), studying in the second and third standards.
Joy J Rai, principal of Canara High School, Apoorva Mali, Anjana Mali, Rajesh Mali and Shubharaj were present during the press meet.
