Mangalore, May 25: A free career guidance and scholarship awareness programme was organized by the talent research foundation, a philanthropic organisation, in association with CIGMA INDIA, Bangalore on Friday May 23 at Town Hall, Mangalore.
'After SSLC/PUC, What next?,' a handbook on courses, careers and scholarships for students after SSLC was released by Dr S A Khan, principal of Bearys Institute of Technology.
Addressing the gathering Dr S A Khan said, "We have enough talent and intelligent students in our community, but have failed in identifying the. We have to exhibit our talent and Intelligence otheriwse we cannot achieve respect from the society. At present, technologies are innovative; we have to face and succeed in this innovative ideas and bring fame to our country."
Taranath, civil contractor, lauded the efforts of the Talent Research Foundation in identifying the talents and introducing them to the society.
Ameen-e-Mudassar, CEO and career counsellor, CIGMA INDIA, Bangalore, who was also the resource person on the occasion, briefed the students about the careers after SSLC and clarified their doubts.
'What after PUC,' was a talk conducted by Arham Faraaz, a career consultant from CIGMA INDIA, Bangalore. A powerpoint presentation on the government and private scholarships available to the minority students was done by Riyaz Ahmed, president of the Talent Research Foundation.
Clarifications and guidance on a variety of issues including careers and scholarships was done in the question answer session by the resource persons.
The programme was presided over by Abdul Rauf Puthige, chairman of the foundation. Suleman Sheikh Beluvai and others were present on the occasion.
Talent Research Foundation advisor Rafeeq Master welcomed the gathering and delivered the keynote address. The qiraath was recited by Hasher Sheikh while Abdul Hameed delivered the vote of thanks.
On this occasion, the topper of our district Ayesha from Alva's High School, Moodbidre and Mohammed Noushad from Vivekananda College Puttur were felicitated with cash prizes and mementos.
