Once again the President of KMCA Mr Niyaz Ahmed excelled in his leadership and out of the box thinking and I congratulate all the KMCA Excom who put in lot of effort to make the event a grand success.
The event served many aspects. One for sure it brought back the name of the legend who was accredited as "Tiger of Mysore- Tipu Sultan". A man of many abilities to whom even the enemies respected and feared, A kind king, an innovator, heart winner, preserver of art culture and nature, supporter of poor,a soldier, a general and in the end a martyr & a patriot.
Secondly the event respected and honoured athletes and martial artist who were invited from India. This shows that one sport respects and supports another. Thirdly the event showed us that heroes are not born but made. Mr Shavvad and Mr Manjunath despite being blind won many Gold and Silver awards. This exhibits passion, dedication and strong will which a sports man possesses and something which we all should begin to possess. Fourthly a platform for Kannadigas to show their talent in various fields like cricket, commentary, organizing abilities etc. The three days well spent and I thoroughly enjoyed it. For those who missed it they need to wait for a year to catch up the next big event and I already cant wait to see it.

A tournament with a difference. With an overload of Cricket tournaments in Doha, and the teams are mostly owned by Indian Expats, it is sad to note that the percentage of Indian players in them are in single digit. Thus Tornaments such as Tipu Sultan Cup provide the opportunity for the Indian origin players to show their worth in front of full house spectators.
Bravo! KMCA for making this possible and for the impeccable ution of the tournament in totality. Three days of power packed entertainment. With IPL on television, it was such a pleasure to see so many people willing to get off their couches and watch Live cricket in Doha. This shows that there is room for growth in this format of cricket in Doha.
Well done all the participating teams. Champions Coorg Chargers were a formidable side and much deserve their landslide victory.
Most of all, the Indian sports personalities invited and brought down as Guests of Honour, World 5th seeded Blind Athlete, Mr. Shavvad, and the Arjuna Awardee Athlete Mrs. Ashwini Nachappa is an excellent initiative to honour the wider sporting activities bringing accolades to India.
The Chief guests Mr. M. I Farid, the architect of cricket as a competetive sport in Qatar and President of Qatar Veteran's Cricket League and Mr. Azim Abbas, an ardent cricket supporter & President of Indian Business & Professionals Network under ICC, talks a lot about the understanding of the recognistion that is required to the people who help the image of India in the local Qatar scene.
The involvement of such personalities not only inspires others to get more and more active in this part of the world in the sport that beats in every Indian's Heart, Cricket! but also acknowledge the opportunities that is there in every sporting arena to earn recognition.

Way to go KMCA! leading the organizational change in the thinking and ution of events. Visionary Leader Mr. Niyaz Ahmed and a dedicated Team.

Looking forward to the next KMCA event.
