Dubai, May 22: Countdown has begun for the keenly-awaited twin Tulu dramas starring the highly popular Devdas Kapikad - Naveen Padil duo, along with equally loved actor Bhojaraj Vamanjoor.
The back-to-back dramas 'Podyodchi Yanulle' and 'Pudhar Deetuji', hosted by UAE Tulu Koota, Dubai, will be staged on at Sheikh Rashid auditorium on Friday May 23 from 5 pm.
The artistes of twin dramas arrived at Dubai International Airport here on Thursday May 22. They were accorded a warm welcome by the members of UAE Tulu Koota.
Devdas Kapikad, Naveen Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Jagannath Shetty Bala and Ashok Purohit were given a traditional welcome with garlands by organizers K R Tantry, Daya Kirodian, Jayanth Shetty, Sudhakar Tumbe and Vishwanath Shetty.
UAE Tulu Koota Dubai members Suganda Rai Bekal, Jyothish Shetty, Sachin Shetty, Sunil Chitrapura, Ganesh Kotian, Manohar Hegde and Noel D Almeida were present.
The first play 'Podyodchi Yanulle' will start at 5 pm, followed by the next play 'Pudar Deetuji' at 8 pm. The ticket is priced at a reasonable AED 100, 50 and 30 only. The event is extra special as the Kapikad-Padil duo would be seen on UAE stage together after more than a decade.
