Some of the beaches pose grave danger to tourists and visitors. Despite warning signs being put up in some of these beaches, many venture into the sea for fun and frolic oblivious to the dangers. I must compliment Mr. Aaron, an Australian, for helping the victims and pulling some to safety.

It is a matter of regret that accidental deaths occur at beaches in Mangalore now and again. At Pannambur - as I understand life-guards have been posted who to some extent safe-guard the interests of the people picnicking at the beach. I am not sure whether there are similar arrangements at the Ullal Beach. If not - it would be advisable to introduce the system over there.
