Bantwal, May 19: In a tragic accident, Philomena Coelho (42), an active social worker, was killed at Ramalkatte in Thumbay when a police jeep which hit the taxi she was about to board ran over her on Saturday at around 3.15 pm.
Philomena who boarded the taxi from Thumbay was on her way to Modankap church along with her 11 year old daughter to attend mass on Saturday evening. She was admitted to Fr Muller Hospital at Modankap but was declared brought dead.
