Mangalore, May 18: Health and family welfare minister U T Khadar in a formal visit to Daijiworld corporate office on Saturday, May 17 echoed the words of other Congressmen and admitted that the drubbbing the Congress party faced in the district was a result of a Modi undercurrent.

The minister was received at the office by editor-in-chief of Daijiworld Walter Nandalike.

Khadar appreciated the efforts of Daijiworld in being instrumental in extending financial support to those who in dire state. He said through online charity appeals, Daijiworld has been providing a platform for the needy people to seek help. "This is a good initiative, one that has emerged as a meaningful online programme," he said, emphasizing that he wished to see it continue in the same spirit.

He expressed confidence that Daijiworld24x7, Daijiworld's new TV channel which was launched on May 9, would deliver innovative and meaningful programmes. He wished good luck to the TV team.

Khadar, who later spoke to Daijiworld media team on the defeat of the Congress party, admitted that the strong presence of Modi wave had decimated the party. When asked if the three ministers of the district would own the responsibility for the debacle in DK, he declined to comment and replied that Modi had succeeded in winning the hearts of the people.

"Modi-led BJP convinced the voters and sparked news hopes in the minds of the people. This translated into votes and routed the Congress party in the district and across the nation," he added.

UT khader seems to believe that he is a minister for a certain community and rushes to spot immediately. Also fantastically Ullal was the only constituency where Kateel got less votes.. so clearly who is polarised !!! no guesses ... Why do you expect only one community to be secular.. also expect other community to do so.. Khader try to contest in another consitutency and show your popularity.

Evidently, the primary reasons for the Congress debacle in the just-concluded general election include unbridled inflation, unabashed corruption, ineffective prime minister and changing perception about dynasty rule. These factors overshadowed constructive deeds of the party. It’s time for a party overhaul.

Khadar Bhai, you all cheated Poojariji... intentionally or unintentionally…. By assuring him 15,000 to 25,000 or more margin of votes in your respective constituency except Lobo Mamu…. He assured 15,000 more margins of votes in Mangalore region and he managed to garner 13,500 odd votes more in favour of JP…. In Ullal region you assured him margin of more than 30,000 votes in favour of JP!!!! But what happened now?

Pls pardon, I need to correct myself, because what we called Mangalore in Lok Sabha Election means Ullal comes under Mangalore region, so it’s not Lobo Mamu instead Khadar Bhai is the only person who secured some lead up to 13,000 votes in favour of Poojariji… rest everybody failed to garner margin of votes in favour of JP!!!!! Lobo Sir…. What is this?????

The Congress having known Modi's undercurrent should have changed its strategy. This was bad management by the Congress Party. Rahul Gandhi is too young to face Modi's challenge.

Elections are like a cricket match. One has to win and one has to lose. Wishing the defeated candidates the very best next time provided they work for the people from now onwards.

@ Kurt, olden burg, there are many reasons. One is,Gandhi Name itself doesnt mean congress wins.It is like SPD and CDU.Rahul was not interested preveously in politic. Now someone has pushed him in this field. One should also have a Quality of leading and ruling like Indira Gandhi.she had the guts to go Forward and learnt from father auf Peak.Second People are fed up with present situatiion and wanted what new.Everywhere robbery ,murder cheating, and mostly no work is done without bribe. It starts from the peon to head.like in Griechenland.Nothing is functioning .At present rapes are making the rounds.cases are lapsing, police are also with bribes not taking cases seriously.Everywhere chaos.Let us see how much will Change, many places, some Youngsters are taking law in their Hands like in cow slaughtering .And many places Money also has played a great role. Many voters are offered Money.but which Party that we cant say.

The following is the GDP purchasing power Parity of world nations.

    Derived from the website
    This is in U.S. Dollars.

    United States - 15,290,000,000,000

    China - 11,440,000,000,000

    India - 4,515,000,000,000

    Japan - 4,617,000,000,000

    Germany - 3,194,000,000,000

And this has happened only within a decade rule of Dr. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with the strong support from Soniaji.

To this economy also had been added Nehruji's and Indiraji’s constant struggle of India’s rule.

I am quoting this now because no one should claim later See now we are the second Largest Economy.

The base is the constant struggle of congress rule for the last 60 years.

I am indebted to Congress and in my opinion If the Fundoos will rule it will be like NDA rule of Wheel-Chair Government Atel Behari Vajpayee and Morarji Desai rule who gave permission for Nuclear Bomb to Pakistan.

Modi undercurrent or over-current or tsunami is not the reason. It is the dirty government at the center who had weak prime minister who allowed scam after scam with parallel government set up by soniya and papu the useless one.

I hope Modi will give a stable government with development, jobs, electricity, good roads and water. No need to canvas, people will elect him for next thirty years.

    Modi undercurrent-? What is it?
Leave aside win and loss of many others, of whose performance and other details, we may not know much as much as we know of BSY, Sriramulu and win of Shobhakka vis-a vis JPH.
I believe, people didn't tolerate lethargic attitude of Govt.
When Govt had shown so much guts to divide Andra, what stopped them to to control price rise, corruption and lawlessness? It must have been a question mark. People lacked faith in Central leaders. That's the reason person like JPH also lost. Surely that must be the reason for Congress debacle.

In this election it is proved that INDIAN VOTERS are the boss and INDIA is the best DEMOCRATIC country in the world. NO party can take people for granted. Every one has the opportunity. This is a time of online media, facebook, whatsup. People are more knowledgeable than earlier. Now the pressure is on BJP to perform. People will surely wait patiently for some time but at the end People will start taking decisions about next VOTE. JAI HIND.

Health and family welfare minister U T Khadar who visited the Daijiworld corporate office yesterday, said: “"Modi-led BJP convinced the voters and sparked news hopes in the minds of the people. This translated into votes and routed the Congress party in the district and across the nation," But what are the reasons for the devastating defeat of the Congress party?
´Rahul Gandhi, was widely viewed as the party´s future leader, has also failed miserably in leading the party away from crisis. Like his mother, Rahul Gandhi has hardly interacted with media or expressed views on critical national issues, raising questions about his leadership capacity. The reticence may have worked for Congress in good times when the family was credited for successes and shielded from failures. Now people are disenchanted with the party. Its perceived failure occurred when India most needed decisiveness, accountability, agility, and vision. There can be no doubt, the leadership of the Congress have instead become objects of ridicule, and the party and government appeared to have lost their sense of direction.´
he lack of a strong, well-communicated government plan for policy reform reflected internal divisions in the party. After a flurry of scathing reports in domestic and foreign media, and sensing the impending disaster on the economic front, Mr Singh responded by introducing new measures to woo foreign investors. These steps were largely signs of desperation rather than a commitment to serious reform.´
The devastating defeat shows that the charisma of the Gandhi family is on the decline, and the party has yet to produce quality leaders with a strong support base. Over the course of Mrs Gandhi´s presidency, the party gradually lost its capacity to generate effective state and regional leaders. The culture of sycophancy, of rewarding those loyal to the Gandhi family and banishing those challenging top leadership, blocks efforts aiming to rejuvenate the party. ´The Congress party must not forget that Indian electorates increasingly demand good governance and a high level of transparency from administrators. To overcome political paralysis and regain people´s trust, Congress urgently requires a fresh set of competent and energetic leaders committed to corruption-free governance.´

    Best regards
