Cannes, May 17 (IANS): Actor Robert Pattinson is here for the ongoing 67th Cannes International Film Festival, where his arrival was welcomed warmly by a coterie of fans.
The 28-year-old is in town to attend the movie gala -- which kicked off Wednesday -- on behalf of not one, but two films, reports eonline.com.
The first is "The Rover", a dystopian crime drama shot in Australia costarring Guy Pearce and directed by David Michôd, while the second film is "Maps to the Stars", directed by David Cronenberg.
Pattinson's fans were anxious for a glimpse of the handsome star, when he arrived at the airport. Despite being used to the attention, he managed to look a bit startled.
The British actor had his shades on and was toting a copy of the Independent newspaper, while a couple of bodyguards warded off his admirers.
