Mangalore: NaMo Brigade books flight ticket to Pakistan for Ananthamurthy!

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (BG/SHS)

Mangalore, May 17: Soon after the BJP secured a majority in the elections and it became clear that Narendra Modi would become the new Prime Minister of the country, the Mangalore unit of NaMo Brigade threw a jibe at senior litterateur   U R Ananthamurthy by sending him a flight ticket to leave the country.

Ananthamurthy had earlier stated that he would leave the country if Narendra Modi were to become the Prime Minister. Hence the NaMo Brigade booked a ticket for him to leave the country and go to Pakistan.

The NaMo Brigade wants Ananthamurthy to take a flight from Bangalore to Karachi via Sri Lanka. The Sri Lanka Airlines flight was scheduled to depart to Colombo on May 17 at 3.40 am from the Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore and arrive at Colombo airport at 5.10 am.

The flight is scheduled to depart from Colombo at 1 pm and reach Karachi at 4.40 pm. All the expenses of the flight have been borne by the NaMo Brigade and the step has been taken to enable the veteran litterateur lives up to his words, stated the NaMo Brigade in a press release.

"The ticket was booked on May 13 itself as everyone knew that NDA would come to power and Modi would be the next PM. To avoid inconvenience to Ananthamurthy in leaving the country at the last minute, the tickets were booked in advance," the release stated.

When contacted for his reaction to this development, Ananthamurthy told daijiworld that he regretted making the statement against Narendra Modi. "It was a mistake. My statement was emotionally driven.  Modi's victory is a triumph of advertisements and media management," he said.

That means Muslims in Gujarath are so scared of what happened to them 2002. Their freedom has been ripped off and they have already subjected to second class citizen.

That is one of the reasons they can't protest or voice their concerns. They are like lambs in front of wolves.

In this case the true colour of Ananthamurthy is unfaced. People like him make a statements & try to pressurise people with their thoughts, & with statements as challenges of leaving the country or so. But they never stick to their words. It is nothing but a effort to blackmail people with their ideology, & on failure, try to escape with excuses. Modi is elected by people as he is their choice, & perhaps people like Ananthamurthy should learn first as how to speak before people. Wrong Statements not ony damages themselves, but also hurts the nation, as he is a Jnanapeeta Award winner.

it's not so simple to give some statements and then escape. that's why being leaders you should be very careful. Just assuming something and telling you will do this that.. now it's pay back time. Listeners are not dumboos... people are smart and register all your comments and they will follow up on that. You commented and d somewthing and now it's your duty to keep your words. Just realise that you were wrong and it's a punishment society is gining you for your unrealistic and wrong statements. DOn't get in to any mess up and please pack up. You dont have any moral right to be here under Modi's leadership. At least be careful while announcing or declaring in public in future.

Bihar BJP leader Mr.Giriraj Singh has said BJP haters should quit India and go to Pakistan. This may be one of the agenda of BJP and now Namo Brigade started to implement the same by preparing to send Mr.Murthy to Pakistan. That means hereafter all Narendra Modi haters will be branded as anti nationals and they have to leave the country. am i right? But i am asking you who is Modi to do so? India is only his property? also remember only 36% of the Indian people voted Modi and 64% of the people still opposing Modi.

DearAbdul Rafiq bhai, of the 80 loksabha constituencies of Uttar Pradesh, 29 are Muslim dominating ones. And all the 29 of them have been bagged by the BJP. That means it is evident that the Muslims and the dalits have chosen Modi as their leader if Modi Tsunami is to be believed.Muslims have now understood the cheap political game played by Mulayam and Mayavathi.Mayavathi lost miserably gaining only a big ZERO into her credit. Narendra Modi has never ever said or asked any Muslims to leave the country. Why should they leave the country when it belongs to all of us? Are we all not Indians? Please do not get upset just because someone writes something somewhere. If Modi was really communal then the Gujarati Muslims wouldn't have given a clean sweep mandate to the BJP. The time has now come to forget the past and move forward to build a strong and stable country by joining hands. A stronger India requires the stronger social fabrics to live a peaceful life. We the Indians must remember that 'united we stand divided we fall'. Communal harmony is one of the things our country needs to be strongest. Jai Hind

Those who have booked a ticket to Anathmurthy to Pakistan, what connection they have with Pakistan?

Ananthmurthy is Indian by birth and it is his right to live in India in dignity. Whatever he has said during election speech, is not at all in good spirit. At the same time, Modiji's brand name has given BJP victory But is Modiji in his election speeches spoke like a statesman?
If Modiji is a follower law of the land, he should have respect for SC order and respect Indian Law.When SC told Amit Shah to leave UP during election. why Modiji insisted Amit Shah to continue in UP until election?
I won't be surprised tomorrow Ananthmurthy will be a member of BJP. Always the grass root level irrespective of party are the cause of lifting the party and they are one will be forgotten after elections.

I am not a great fan of U R ananthmurthy's self-centered positions taken on public issues. But i see a deep thought behind Ananthamurthy's statement - I will go to pak if modi becomes PM. Pakistan n Bangla are part of Indian state pre-independence. BJP wanted to capture Pakistan and join with indian state. In that scenario, UR Ananthamurthy has every right to go to any part of united states of indian territory including pak occupied indian land. Modi has to deliver in joining pak wit india in spirit but not thru rhetoric. NaMo brigade is too narrow minded in thinking to meet their own selfish ends meet.

By the way, UR Ananthamurthy is known to switch loyalties to people in power irrespective of ideologies. He is longing for fame n power. His only unfinished dream is to get booker n nobel.

    Mr William Pais
With due respects, personality like. The stature of Jnanapeeta awardee Ananthamurthy should not have openly critised Modi as he should know how his words would be measured by the people. No one had asked him to leave India. They should be apolitical in public let them vote anyone in the booth. They not only criticized Modi but endorsed congress also and joined them is spreading a insecure feelings to the minorities that you are not safe Under Modi. That's his mistake for which he landed in such a situation today. Can you imagine what would happen if personalities like Veerendra Heggade make a pro party or anti party statements in public ? It may misguided people and they will loose respect from one sect of the society who differ politically from them. Talking about arrogance of Namo brigade or BJP supporters I guess it's just give back time as all these while we were on the receiving end by the so called intellectuals and hypocrites now that the verdict is in our favor we are just having some fun time paying it back. Soon things will be normal unless there is no further provocation. Having said that I don't think Namo or BJP wants Ananthamurthy to leave India litterely. The irony about time is that it always comes around. We should remember that.

Certainly, very good thoughts and I second that. The only challenge is that, for the bills to be passed, NDA does not have majority in Upper House (Rajyasabha). My view is that all these parties who were wiped out in this election will ensure that no bill passes Rajyasabha with the sole aim of showing Modi as an incapable man in front of the electorate. But I am sure, Modi will only grow stronger in the face of challenges and deliver. More than billion hopes are on this man and I believe he understands that very well.

Never say you will leave India, Remember INDIA is for all INDIANS. Now Modi will have to prove his governance and not let the people who have voted him down, bring down corruption, crime rate, bring back money from swiss bank, improve job opportunities, ensure Indians get at least their basic necessities like food, clothing, shelter, education, primary health fulfilled. reduce inequality of income especially in big corporates where few earn in tonnes and majority who put lots of efforts and do the actual working earn peanuts. First and foremost he has to maintain his leadership in Party itself and not allow LKG and others to demoralise him. Awaiting Modi's leadership in these and many more commitments

When a writer says something like what Prof UR Annatha Murthy has said, it needs to be taken with a broader sense. Now that broader sense still prevails even if the Modi wave sweeps the country. Writer sees something that a majority fails to take note of. By taking out a flight ticket to Pakistan, the brigade has shown intolerance for a liberal view. Prof. Anantha Murthy is one of the finest writer of our times and needs to be treated with respect. A thumping majority does not give a mandate for arrogance rather for genuine change which the country want to see.

America made the mistake in 2005 - they did not think Modi will be PM. Ananthamurthy let off some hot air and blurter he would leave country. Devegowda said he will leave karnataka. Manishankar aiyyar assured India that Modi will not be PM of India in 21st century. Now, Ananthamurthy blames marketing. Aiyyar finished 4th and firmly believes that if he sells tea, he can become PM someday. Devegowda now looking for property in Gujarat. America is asking Modi to visit America. This is a big slap on the face of all those who would harp that US has denied visa to Modi. The only guy apparently who stuck to his words is some unknown KRK from UP who has no idea why he is doing all this!! Modi certainly deserves to be the PM of this nation!
