Mangalore, May 16: Former union minister, B Janardhana Poojary, who had been predicted by some exit polls to come out victorious against BJP's Nalin Kumar Kateel from Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency, has gracefully accepted his defeat.
The veteran leader, who had all along been insistent that Modi wave was not prevalent anywhere in the country, admitted that the wave in fact, was visible everywhere.
Speaking to Daijiworld after conceding victory to Nalin Kumar Kateel on Friday May 16, Poojary said he is accepting the verdict of the people to give mandate to Nalin Kumar Kateel and NDA at the centre with humility.
He said be bows before the decision of the people, and extended his congratulations to both BJP and its candidate, Kateel.
"Defeat and victory are two sides of the same coin, and one has to accept both of them with a balanced mind. I admit presence of Modi wave in Dakshina Kannada district as well as all over the country," he added.
