The deceased have been identified as Girish (7), Naveen (8), Neelappa (9) and Chidananda (9), all residents of Koorikatta.

They were among a group of five who ventured into the sea. While playing in the water, the three boys were pulled away by the strong waves.

Our education system should first teach children disciplined and safe life tips. That is where we lag behind when compared to other countries

All I can say is rest in peace. And for those of the parents please take care of your kids until at least they are 15. My age is 30 and my mother still doesn't allow me to step into beach water, or river or even drive a 2 wheeler in bangalore city

everything is right Abdulla. Will our people listen. that's the problem. we don't listen to anybody. What's the use of deploying all the safety measures and people doesn't follow. selling all those safety gears, will our people buy ? Unless our people are educated and self disciplined nothing is going to change. In driving also, there is a strict rule of wearing helmet for 2 wheelers... but who is following ? 90 % of the localities drive without helmet or having it hanging in hands. Yes, very tragic event. 4 boys lives... lose can not be compensated to the family. RIP
