Dubai: Double bonanza for Tulu drama lovers on May 23

Dubai, May 14: UAE Tulu Koota, Dubai in its 24th year of service to Tulu language and culture in UAE is bringing yet another mega event of Tulu drama, slated to be staged May 23 at Sheik Rashid Auditorium, Indian High School, Dubai.

Mohan Rai Karnoor, the convenor for Mumbai and Middle East of Cha Parka troupe is organising this drama event in association with Flash Back Events LLC along with UAE Tulu Koota Dubai, bringing in the famous Tulu drama troupe of Mangalore – Cha Parka Kalavidaru. 


It is for the 6th time that UAE Tulu Koota is entertaining the UAE audience through the team of Cha Parka Kalavidaru, and Rai proudly says that no troupe from Mangalore has toured 6 times in Middle East except in UAE and heartily thanked UAE Tulu Koota for making this happen.

Karnataka Rajyotsava Award recipient Devdas Kapikad, writer, director and actor of Cha Parka Kalavidaru is a name to reckon with in the Tulu drama field. He has entertained thousands of Tulu drama lovers across the continents. Every year he stages new dramas with new themes and social messages which he spreads across the mass with his own style of wit and sharp but sugar-coated dialogues. It is a great honour to Cha Parka troupe which has completed 25 years of entertaining Tulu drama lovers and spreading the rich Tulu language all over India and the Gulf regions with some effective moral message.

Devdas Kapikad has staged more than 46 Tulu dramas, exceeding 7,000 shows across the globe, a record which stands tall among all drama troupes of repute. He is coming here with his two dramas, 'Podyodchi Yanulle' which has already entertained thousands of spectators with more than 100 shows in India. 'Pudar Deethijione' the super hit drama which has been staged in more than 500 shows and created history in Tulu drama is a combination of trio comedians Kapikad, Padil and Vamanjoor will surely have the audience in splits of laughter.

It is almost after gap of 6 years that Devdas Kapikad and Naveen Padil are once again acting together and Dubai audience had already felt that glimpse of the duo during the Tulu Parba 2013.

C R Shetty, convenor of UAE Tulu Koota has requested all fans of Cha Parka to book their tickets in advance. He has also stated that both dramas are expected to pull housefull crowds as earlier and it is sure that late comers would be in for disappointment. Be ready for 6 hours of rib tickling comedy and heart=touching melodrama. The gates will open sharp at 4.30 pm and the first drama starts at exactly 5 pm.
