Mangalore: Anish murder - Key suspect among four arrested

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, May 12 : Key suspect Hemanth and three others were arrested by the Mangalore police in connection with bus owner Anish Shetty alias Mudipu Anish's murder near Kadri Park.

Anish who was hailed from Ira village of Muloor, Bantwal, and was identified as a rowdy sheeter, was brutally attacked and killed on Friday, May 9 in broad daylight. The driver who was along with Anish at the time of attack, along with Leepak Lasrado, who registered the complaint in Kadri police station have also been detained by the police for questioning.

Meanwhile, the underworld hand in this murder has also come to the light. Earlier there was confusion as Vishwanath Koraga Shetty and Bannanje Raja both were claiming responsibility for the murder. But a telephone call from Dubai by Vishwanath Koraga Shetty claimed that "Bannanje Raja is not responsible for the murder; it is my men who carried out the attack on Anish according to my instruction".

It is learnt that Anish was threatening businessmen in Mangalore and extorting money from them in the name of Koraga Shetty, but never passing on the money to Koraga Shetty. This had reportedly angered Koraga Shetty and made him take this attack against Anish.

Now police are investigating the case in different angles.

How do these rowdies breed? poor law and order system. So the cops will wash their hands off as the accused is out of the country and beyond their scope of action.

Not very appropriate, but I do feel...
Police should not catch the murderers, because as per constitution, there is a long process to punish them, and till then crime will thrive.

if let loose, in this 'underworld' system, they will finish off each other. By watching the gory end, the young men will stay away from such gangs and we will have a safer society.

In the last few months, didn't we see the end of 4-5 such fellows? Our judicial system would not have such quick end.

The Dubai DON will never do such acts, and when there are no foot soldiers, they too will end.

An ordinary Bus conductor goes on to become the owner of Seven Buses and becomes real estate developer within a very short period of time. Is it possible in a straightforward way ? The gory death at the end tells the real story.
