Mangalore, May 9: A rowdy sheeter was attacked and killed by a group of four in broad daylight  at Kadri here on Friday May 9.

The deceased, identified as Mudipu Anish, was fatally attacked by four persons who came in a car.

A friend of Anish who was with him said that Anish was standing near an Innova car at the entrance in Kadri, when four persons came by bikes and attacked him brutally with machetes and knives. When the friend tried to stop them, they threatened him and told him to go away. After the attack the miscreants fled the spot.

Anish was rushed to AJ Hospital where he breathed his last.

Anish is said to be an accused in several criminal cases. It is suspected that internal rivalry led to the attack.

A case has been registered in Kadri police station.

This type of murders is quite common in Mangalore/elsewhere.

The Goondas are eliminated by Goondas. Best way of getting rid of Goondas.

I see some people commenting about money making by illegal means.. there are many more white collar thieves who rob in daylight but we all salute them in the name of education.. Most of the established institutions irrespective of community are in clout with political parties to make money.. so none are saints here.. have respect for all!!! in today's world.

While condemning this incident, you are right, white collar thuggery involving 10s of 1000s of crores from the common masses by those in power and influential groups in all fields especially finance and stock markets, etc. is going on unabated with nobody being ever brought to book, except maybe a recent big time self styled bizmen who is lodged in jail since two months.

There is no point in commenting the present problem is the result of earlier government.

If you sell this idea, all government will put the blame on previous governments and sleep nicely.

The moment any government takes oath, they need to send the message to their officers to take strict action. But Siddu government gave a message that "we have HM now from minority community for the protection of minorities" So Aneesh Shetty, name looks like not minority) is dead.

If you just comment for the sake of rebutting someone, you are indirectly helping government to become inefficient.

I have onlty one suggestion let the british rulers come again.
law has to be strict enough once if they do a serious crime they should never see the world again. i am not telling that to kill them put them in prison with out bail in any of our remote islands. the way of treating both common man and VIP at the same chair if they do the crime. who ever did the crime as well as who made them to do so also has to be in jail. Today what is our constitution is having many loop holes than a true punishment. police its self many times violates the law. So thats the best option i told.

    wow,
A peaceful city like Mangalore is now full of crimes..
    why?
because ..people are lazy..easy money...lost all scruples and morals..
time to induct each and eery one into hardcore military training after 12 the grade all compulsory ,no excuse at all.
where are we heading? and why?
Any new govt should consider compulsory military training... for min 3 years if not more..tune their minds for discipline...dedication..value..morals..this is utter nonsense..we do not tolerate...
what do they think we are in HAITI OR NIGERIA?
if the head is good the tail will also be.is the moral of the story...
let every indian work full time for min 8 to 10 hours and work for the nation in uniforms..

Murder in day broad daylight in front of the public? What a kind of law and order exists here in Mangalore. Anish, what he sowed the seeds, that he reaped. RIP

yes, law and order has vanished in Mangalore. we are hearing so many unhealthy incidents. open air murders, suicides, accidents, robberies, rapes... just imagine how cool Mangalore was a decade back and now... people are scary to come and settle here. Many of the corporate employees are asking for transfers away from Mangalore. Unless authorities wake up at least now... we may end up as one of the most unsafe city of the country or world
