Bangalore, May 6: The Bangalore Archdiocese got seven new priests and two deacons with their ordination by Archbishop Dr Bernard Moras on Tuesday.
The new priests are: Fathers Arun Balraj A, Arun Santhosh M, Kiran Kumar Balappa, Martin Anil J, Paneer Selva Kumar, Shanth Kumar J and Sunny Richard J.
The two newly ordained deacons are: Vinay Pradeep and Francis Fernandes.
''It is indeed a great privilege, joy and an abundant blessing to all of us,” the Archbishop said.
While congratulating the newly ordained priests and deacons, the Archbishop wished them fruitful ministries in the Archdiocese.
''May they continue to sustain the same zeal and dedication in the years to come. I thank their Parents, Formatters, Parish Priests, Vocation Promoters, and those who helped them to reach the Altar of God,” he said.
He said he was happy to cordially welcome them into the presbyterate and pray that the Eternal High Priest may grant them the Grace and spirit of perseverance and the joy of serving his people.
Archbishop Moras said the newly ordained ministers as gifts of God to the Archdiocese.
''We congratulate them and also assure them of our prayers that they may do their priestly and diaconal ministries joyfully for the glory of God and for the service of his people,” he added.
