Dubai, May 6: Emirates Pangalites, UAE, will be organizing a drawing competition for children in the age group from 4-12 and also for children with special needs on Friday May 30 at 2 pm at Happy Home Nursery, Karama, Dubai.
This will be the fourth drawing competition organized by the Association. The previous three drawing competitions received good response from parents and children. A new category has been added this time to bring out the talents of special care children.
The objectives of the drawings competition are:
1. To provide an opportunity to children to compete and show their talents.
2. To create awareness of the changing world.
3. Discover and display their hidden talents.
4. Motivate the budding artists to blossom in the field of the art.
The competition will be held in three regular groups and a separate group for children with special needs, as follows:
Age Subject Color type
4-6 Outline will be given Crayons
7-9 Save the Earth Color Pencils
10-12 What I Dream For Water Color
Special need children (no age bar) Any creative ideas Any materials can be used.
Rules & Regulations:
1. Competition is open to all Mangalorean/Goan children.
2. Registration will be restricted to first 100 entries only for all the three categories.
3. Last date of registration will be May 24.
3. All participants should report to the venue half an hour prior to the competition.
4. Only one drawing per participant to be submitted.
5. Stationery (colors, rubber, pencils) to be brought by the participants. No borrowing or lending will be entertained.
6. Drawing papers will be provided by the organizers at the venue.
7. Nature of the drawings should be strictly related to the subject given.
8. Drawings received will not be returned.
9. Best three drawings in each category will be awarded along with two consolation prizes.
10. Participants should abide to all the rules and regulations laid by the organizers.
11. Decision of the judges will be treated as final.

Registered children will be notified via emails regarding the status of their registration. The registered children will only be allowed to participate in the competition.
The results of the competition will be declared on the same day before 5.30 pm. The prize distribution will be held at the venue shortly after the competition.
