May His soul rest in peace.

The one and only true lawyer I have ever seen in my legal profession who fought cases based on merit unlike today's so called famous lawyers who indulge in manipulations and threaten / lure witnesses.
We lost the one of the finest lawyers of our time.

Dear Sitabai, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of your beloved husband Mr. Purushotam Poojary. I knew him since 45 years.I came to know him through Late Mr. JOBA Who was another well known lawyer of that time. Many a times I enjoyed these two advocates humorous talk in their office. I met him last about eight months back in his court office and had very very short talk. I was surprised to know that he was still practicing. May his soul R.I.P.

Having known the late Advocate Purushotham Poojary personally right from my younger days, And having met him hundreds of times while visiting with my late Mother his other great legendary office mate the late great advocate Mr.JOBA Andrade, (who was well known as the Advocate of the poor and the oppressed) I can never forget Mr.Poojary’s humble, simple and friendly style of conversation with all types of clients, (both from rich or poor backgrounds) and his go all-out style to help the clients especially in times of their distress, mental dispairs and need.
I do believe that his kind heartedness in this world will be duly appreciated by the Good Lord by rewarding him with peaceful eternal sleep in His divine gardens and by blessing his family with all the strength to bear and overcome the grief of the great loss.

My Dear Members of Advocate Purushotham Poojary and Members of Mangalore Bar Association,
It is with very deep regret and sadness that i join all of you in mourning the loss of one of the greatest senior advocate Dakshina Kannada and Mangalore ever had. A soft spoken person, a role model of youngsters, a voracious reader, a commendable lawyer, a senior friend, a well wisher and a legal philosopher. I had the great privilege of meeting him many times when I was practicing in Mangalore for a very brief period of time. Gem of a Person. A very Admirable Personality. I personally acknowledge his services towards the legal fraternity of Dakshina Kannada and Mangalore. My Heartfelt Condolences and Deepest Sympathies to all the Family Members of Advocate Purushotham Poojary and also to the Members of the Mangalore Bar Association, Mangalore that God may grant them strength to bear this sudden loss.
May God grant him Eternal Rest. May His Soul Rest in Peace. RIP

Dear Sitabai & Sujay, please accept our heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of our dear beloved Mr. Purushotham Poojary. It was a pleasure to have known him since my childhood - a wonderful, affectionate friendly person always cheerful and humorous. A dedicated, proficient lawyer for over six decades, four of them with my father in the same office - hence the unforgettable acquaintance. He brought peals of laughter to every soul he met with his humorous quips. My last treasured memorable moments with him was at my brother's golden b'day bash at the Mangalore Club in December 2014 and from what I knew him in my younger days, he had not changed a bit, even at 90!! We are deeply grieved on his demise and convey our heartfelt condolences to all his near and dear ones. Memories of our pleasant acquaintance with him will always remain cherished and indelible in our hearts. May his soul rest in peace. With you all at this hour of your bereavement......from Maria and Joseph Andrade & family, P O Box 5202, Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.

In olden days the legal profession was one having highest esteem and respect. But unfortunately, with the changing times the professionals in this field have no commitment towards 'justice'.Profession simply runs for money and there is 'unanimity' amongst them in sharing the booty.Arguments in court hall like Yakshagana thala maddale...Very sorry state of affairs....
