Acclaimed singer Benny Dayal rocks Kuwait

Kuwait, May 3: After the grand success of 'Jai-Ho' Sukhwinder Singh Live in Concert, Apna Bharat Society - Kuwait organized another extravaganza 'Shukran Ya Kuwait', an unplugged live concert on Friday May 2 at Dr Kamel Al-Rayes Auditorium, American International School, Maidan Hawally- Kuwait from 7 pm. 

The event was organized as a token of appreciation and gratitude to the great country Kuwait which has given shelter, chance to earn daily bread and better future to many nationalities. The event featured the famous singing sensation Benny Dayal and playback singer Shefali Alvares.


The programme started with the national anthems of Kuwait and India followed by an introduction video of NGO “Apnalaya” in India. The NGO was founded in 1973 to help children living in slums lead a better life. It strives to achieve this through urban community development projects in Mumbai. 

Compere of the evening RJ Rachana and Merwin Perreira formally welcomed the audience with introduction of event. Foot-tapping group dances were performed by ‘Dancing Divas’ (choreographer Jyoti Patel). A raffle draw sponsored by Huawei for entry passes was conducted and winners were rewarded with attractive mobile sets.

Singing sensation Benny Dayal made his entry with slow songs. Starting off with 'Kaise muje tum mil gayi', 'Nazre milana', 'Nee Pogu' (Tamil), 'Dil se re', 'Masakkali', 'Dum dum ye mast hai', Benny Dayal Live had the crowd grooving from the moment he took over the microphone. The unplugged music with acoustical instruments was a special experience for the audience. Sunil Jain, Ambassador of India to Kuwait and Mohammed F Al Faiz, deputy chairman of Malikiah Group honored Kuwait’s Indian businessmen of repute Mohinder Singh Sahni, M A Asad Aleem Khan and Satish Sharma for their achievements and very long stay in Kuwait. A souvenir was released by Sunil Jain and Mohammed F Al Faiz. Both of them spoke a few words appreciating the efforts of Apna Bharat Society to bring this event to Kuwait audience. Mohammed F Al Faiz was honored with a memento by Sunil Jain.

Kuwait's Kishore Kumar fame Mubarak Al Rashed Al Aazmi made his entry with Hindi oldies such as 'Arre diwanon', 'Tumse milke', 'Ek hasina thi'' which thrilled the audience experiencing a Kuwaiti singing Hindi songs. Shefali Alvares entertained the audience with her high voltage songs 'Chura liya hai', 'My name is Sheela', 'Party on my mind', 'Hookah bar', 'Subah hone na de' and so on.

Akash Panwar, the president of Apna Bharat Society Kuwait and Benny Dayal honored the sponsors and supporters (Wilson Saldanha, Shirthady/Kuwait) with mementoes. Mubarak and Benny Dayal made audience to enjoy maximum with evergreen oldies such as 'Pyar manga hai tumi se', 'Dil kya karen', 'Roop tera mastana', 'Jab hum jawan honge' and 'Aaja aaja'. Benny asked the audience to give standing ovation to Kuwaiti singer Mubarak for his extraordinary skill of singing Hindi songs. Later Benny along with Shefali rocked the stage with fast numbers such as 'Main aur tum', 'Disco Diwane', 'Ishqwala love', 'I am a disco dancer', 'Bachna aye haseenon', 'Chumma chumma', 'Lat lag gayee', 'A for' etc. Benny Dayal was at his best as he belted out his popular numbers and also sang a mashup of songs ranging from slow to fast.

The fun-filled evening came to a close with Benny crooning 'Badtameez dil' amidst much cheering from the crowd. The musicians for the unplugged event were Alok Merein (Key board), Allwyn (percussion), Daniel (Drums), Carl (Bass Guitar) and Joshua (Guitar).

The event was sponsored by TIK TOK, Eternity International Tours & Travels, Huawei, Crowne Plaza, Al Mutawa & Sahni Co, OSN – HD Entertainment, Bustan Al Khaleeji Co, BEC Exchange, Kuwait Swedish Cleaning Co, Pastamania, Majdi food, American Tourister, Al Yasra food and London Dairy. Sound and lights were provided by Camco Global. The event was Supported professional event organizers- Creative Indian Association and Dancing Divas.

Apna Bharat Society – Kuwait is a non-political, non profitable and non commercial organization established in the year 2010 by a group of professionals with purpose to serve community in Kuwait and India. Its mission is to develop and help community with a message of humanity and hardworking to build a strong nation and peaceful and prosperous world.

Previously it has organized events like 'Jai Ho – Live in Concert by Sukhwinder Singh', sport activities (cricket tournament in Salmiya, badminton tournament in Hawally etc), Educational opportunity for a cause, job assistance for needy through online media etc. The group has succeeded in serving the community without boundaries.

    Benny Dayal 'Badthameez Dil' fame, is one of the most dedicated singers I have ever seen. His popularity has grown steadily in the last few years with songs like 'Tarkeebein' ('Band Baaja Baarat'), 'Daru Desi' ('Cocktail'), 'Disco Deewane' ('Student of the Year') and 'Lat Lag Gayi' '(Race 2') Wishing him tons of luck.

    It was the rocking, well managed, awesome singers, especially Mr. Mubarak and Benny Dayal and Shefali alveres. I loved the whole event
