Dubai: BCF felicitates Mohiuddin Bava

Dubai, May 2: Bearys Cultural Forum, UAE felicitated Mohiuddin Bava , MLA, Mangalore north who was on a private visit to UAE recently at Hotel Caravan, Dubai

The office bearers, working committee members including the members BCF ladies wing and BCF well wishers were present in large numbers. Umer UH, chairman of Career Guidance  Centre, Mangalore, and Abdul qadeer, chairman of Shaheen Group of Institution, Beedar, were also present as guest of honours. 


The programme started with the Quran recitation by  Akber M B. BCF general secretary Dr Kaup Mohammed introduced the guests and invited them to the dais. The president of BCF Dr B K Yusuf welcomed the guests. In his speech he congratulated Mohiuddin Bava and wished him a successful political career. BCF vice president  M E Moolur requested Mohiuddin Bava to work for the communal  harmony and social peace in Karnataka.

Several issues and concerns related to the social development, basic infrastructure, good governance etc. were raised with the MLA  during the question answer session. The BCF Ladies wing, particularly raised the issue of heavy custom duty on Jewelries. They argued that the NREs who return to India after many years deserve a substantial reduction in Custom duties.

Mohiuddin Bava promised that as an MLA, he will try his best by discussing the matter with higher authorities to see that any benefits from the government, within the limits of the constitutional rights is made available to the NRIs. He meanwhile said that the NRIs are the real representatives of India and requested them do their best to promote the Unity and Integrity of the nation.

Abdul Qadeer spoke about Shaheen Educational Institution. Umer U H further elaborated the success story of Shaheen Educational Institution as an emerging predominant centre of learning.

BCF vice president Abdul Latif delivered the vote of thanks.
