Bantwal: Vandalizing of toll plaza – one arrested from Madikeri

Bantwal, May 1: Relating to the assault on persons manning the Brahmarakootlu toll plaza and destruction and damage of things there a few days back, the policemen have taken into custody Abubakker (26) from Apllamajalu near here. He was produced before the judge of the court here.


Abubakker was arrested from Madikeri by the personnel of district crime intelligence bureau, before handing him over to the local police. The policemen said that they have succeeded in identifying over 25 of the vandals involved with this incident, and that enquiries based on their features and appearance, are being made at various places. It is gathered that some houses are being raided in this respect.

It is learnt that the police department is taking all possible steps to take action against the culprits in the case, as the police top brass has been instructed by the state level bosses to take legal steps against the miscreants, without showing any lenience under pressure or recommendations. 

The newly appointed circle inspector of the police station here, it is learnt, held a meeting with senior officials in the town police station relating to steps that need to be taken to identify the culprits and initiate legal action against them.

    As usual a Phone will come from Bantwal MLA's office for VIP treatment for these freedom fighters release and they will be admitted in hospital so that they can escape form there. All thanks to Vote bank politics.
