Mangalore: 'Nirel' Tulu movie completes 50 days in city

Mangalore, Apr 27: 'Nirel', the first ever international Tulu movie which made news around the world has completed 50 days in theatres in and around Mangalore. The movie has been successfully running in Jyothi, Cinepolis, Big Cinema, Amarshree, Prabhat, Kalpana, Bharath, Planet and Nakshatra theatres.  

'Nirel' also got thunderous response when it premeired in Dubai, with around 3,000 people flocking on Valentine's Day to Golden Cinema, Bur Dubai to watch two shows on the same day, both of which were houseful. It was later released in Eldarado Cinema, Abu Dhabi with two shows and one show in Safeer Mall, Mussafah. Due to public demand it was again screened in Golden Cinema, Bur Dubai on March 21 at 4.30 pm. Still there is demand and there are plans to screen it once again both in Dubai and Abu Dhabi soon.


'Nirel' also got striking response in Muscat when it premeired in Star Cinema, Muscat with one show which was fully booked and people still requesting for more shows.

On Friday April 25 at 3 pm there 'Nirel' released in Bahrain in Awal Cinema, Manama, courtesy Bunts Bahrain, wherein the tickets were almost sold out.  

'Nirel' is also scheduled to be released in Sharjah Emirate on 2nd May, 2014 @ 4.30 PM at Al Hamra Theatre, Sharjah and the tickets are already in sales all over Sharjah.

'Nirel' will be next going into Kuwait and Qatar soon by May and the shows will be announced once finalised. Tuluvas in Kuwait and Qatar are eagerly waiting for this and the producers have been getting a number of mails requesting shows there.

'Nirel' will also be released in Mumbai, Pune, Nasik, Bangalore and other parts of India very soon once the theatres are finalised.

Team 'Nirel' under the banner ofSandhya Creations comprises producer Shodhan Prasad, co-producer San Poojary, director Ranjith Bajpe, assistant director Sachin Padil, art director and lyricist Rajneesh Amin, editor Ashwath Samuel, DOP Mani Kookal Nair, music director Abhishek S N, music arranger Swapnil Digde, assistant directors Neha Bangera and Ramya Rajaneesh Amin, make-up artist Diana Saldanha, lyricists Loku Kudla, Seetharam Kulal, singers Akshatha Rao, Pramod Kumar, Shiv Kumar, Shilpa Madhusudhan, Harish Sherigar and Abhishek S N. 

The artistes comprise Anoop Sagar, Varuna Shetty, Deepthi Salian, Deepak Paladka, Subhash Bangera, Anand Salian, Jameel Sheikh, Vidya Shiva, Sandhya Prasad, Vishwapathi Bhat, Rajendra Pai, Nindiya Prasad, Claud, Donny Correa, Santosha Poojary, Veera Rodrigues, Sampath Shetty, Surekha Sampat Shetty, Nithyanand Beskoor, Shashi Shetty, Yogita Salian, Leena Karkera, Purvi Karkera, Latha Hegde, Samantha Hegde, Sanmatha Hegde, Harish Sherigar and many more in brief roles. Sandalwod sstar Ramesh Arvind has done a guest apperance along with actress Ria D'Souza. 
 
Speaking to media persons, producer Shodhan Prasad and co-producer San Poojary thanked all Tuluvas who have supported 'Nirel' Tulu movie by attending the shows wherever it has released and providing good reviews.

Producers and team 'Nirel' has jointly thanked Sudhakar Kudroli, executive producer of the famous yesteryear's 'Sangama Saakshi' Tulu movie and former manager of Gokarnatheshwara Cooperative Bank, for his tireless efforts in successfully screening 'Nirel' in and around Mangalore.  

His effort in promoting 'Nirel' with all his contacts in the Tulu film Industry and business community is worth mentioning.  He was the sole co-coordinator in and around Mangalore. Sudhakar who has acted in a variety roles in most of the Tulu movies released so far has earned appreciation from cinema folks in and around Mangalore. He actively put his efforts day and night in marketing 'Nirel' in Mangalore, hand in hand with team 'Nirel'.

Through Sudhakar Kudroli, the movie received full-fledged support from the following persons, to whom 'Nirel' team has extended gratitude:

The producers also thanked Darshan Somashekar of Overseas Kannada Movies, Bangalore for his timely co-ordination in all the works related to 'Nirel' production, release and distribution.  He has been a real caretaker in all matters during the past few months running day and night coordinating with the proceedings of the movie with the officials in Bangalore/Chennai/Mangalore.  He dedicated most of his time to 'Nirel' leaving his own business which will be remembered always, said Shodhan Prasad.

Team 'Nirel' also thanked all the sponsors and supporters including the Tuluvas who have come and watched the movie and contributed to the success of the movie.  Their love towards Tulu movie is really appreciated and commendable, said the producers.

    With great pleasure I WOULD LIKE to thank the team of NIREL tulu movie for the tireless effotrs of bringing to public such a beatiful tulu movie, that too shot in a foriegn country.I have not visited any cinema theatre to watch movies for the last 15 years but I made it a point to see this perticular movie in a Cinema hall to encourage tulu movie producers with a message that tulu movies if make with pride and devotion, your efforts will pay high divident. I am expecting good movies in tulu to be produced and compete in atleast national level. good luck.

    I have watched many tulu movie but Nirel is totally different, earlier all Tulu film is like drama. All are drama artist, they act like drama in film also but in Nirel totally New faces with real acting and good location, good story, I enjoyed lot. It can equivalent to Hindi movie. Good quality and standard movie. Keep it up. Good show.... Now holiday season... every tulu people can watch... who visit mangalore their native place.. there fore run up to May end.. good luck
