The only way to solve this menace of govt official corruption is to make more and more public utilities online. Public should not even have to go to the office for many things like certificates... I am pessimistic about better governance by the police / judiciary etc - all are corrupt anyway.. Lokayukta itself may be corrupt!

The government creates opportunities to loot people. If i go to the RTO office, i need signatures of 4 different individuals and 3 forms to get my car registration renewed. So they have created 4 layers of corruption for a simple task !

The easiest way to stop corruption is to allow people do simple transactions over the internet. The online railway booking has drastically reduced corruption that once existed in booking train tickets. Similarly, online loan application, passport application etc have reduced the chances for corruption. So (1) Reduce paperwork. Simplify applications and cut bureaucracy. (2) Enable most government related tasks to be done over web so people are spared from the wolves that work in government offices.

Govt should introduce incentive scheme for the public. Those who cite and inform secreatly to the govt about illegal wealth accumulated by Govt officers/staff.Strict secrecy should be maintained. If this scheme comes into being I hope people will think twice on wrong doings or atleast the trend is likely to be controlled.Lokayukta should shouls have laison with Income Tax officials also for effective curbing corruption.

LA can raid these Govt. officials of all Departments every day and
almost all can be charged for amassing DA (from attendant to Ministers.
Why LA raids only once in 3 months or 6 months? Just to show they are alive? Have any of the raids where DA was unearthed have been attached\people involved jailed?
I have never come across news of such attachment of corrupt peoples' properties, nor any punishment meted out to them so far!!!
Then why publish these raids at all
    "Kannige mannu hakalikke antha kanuthade"
All these Workers in the Government can be called "Birds of the same feather..." From top to bottom are hand in hand and upto their neck in corruption. And LA finds only one handful of instances per year!!!

This attender of Chikballapur may be attending the night requirements of Ministers & top govt officials and gets the Bills of Contractors sanctioned during jolly hours from Ministers & DC for which he gets hefty commission. That is why he could amass so much wealth. Pimping is a very lucrative work in Govt Guest Houses. Even in Mangalore Govt Circuit house in Kadri you will find govt office attenders attending the requirements of visiting dignitaries after sunset.

Most attenders even some temp in govt offices are crorepathis because it they who bid first. They are not worried being caught as by the time they are caught, they might have amassed wealth for 3 generations. Our judicial system, lets them go and enjoy the fruits after completion of 1day case formalities.

    Dear Lokayukta
Pls visit Mangalore Government Officer's assets. Start from the villages. See how people come across the horrible experiences of paying bribes and getting the works done.
Daiji world has done a magnificent job in bringing out the social evils. Keep up your good works all the time. Let many more people have the courage to speak in an open forum the irregularities committed at any level.

Tomorrow, our Karnataka Govt will give Promotion to all these seven govt officials and post them to strategic places. Lokayukta report will gather dust.
Most of the Powerful Govt officials who were caught in the last five years have not faced any axe but were rewarded with Promotion under both BJP & Congress Govts. After all these corrupt govt officials do not eat alone, but they also give a big share in their loot to concerned Minister!
