Bhatkal, Apr 25: Nabeel Mustafa, a student of Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, Bhatkal has made his hometown proud by bagging a whopping 12 gold medals and securing the first rank in the civil engineering exams conducted in 2013 by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
Nabeel bagged the first place among 12,000 students from 190 colleges under VTU.
For Nabeel Mustafa, learning is his passion and dedication. His hard work and respect for teachers is worthy of emulation by other students. Nabeel, a native of Kerala, has been a brilliant student right from the beginning.
The general secretary of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, a pioneering education trust in Bhatkal Jukaku Abdul Raheem said in a press release, “In 2000 and 2007 our students secured ranks at the university. In 2007, Prassana Kumar bagged the first rank in the university; he also secured four gold medals and now Nabeel Mustafa has achieved 12 gold medals. The medals will be presented to Mustafa on the convocation day, the date of which will be announced soon."

Nabeel, speaking to reporters said, “The Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management is situated on a hill top. When I joined this college I did not have the slightest idea that I would achieve this. As an institute, Anjuman provides one of the best teaching faculties I have ever seen. They have constantly guided me through these years. I can confidently say that my professors have nurtured and shaped my areas of interest and have helped me hit the bull’s eye.”
He added, "I would like to convey my gratitude to all the professors and the management of this institution for helping me achieve this rare feat."
