Bangalore, April 21 (IANS): To celebrate 80 years of Kannada cinema, Suchitra Film Society (SFC) in association with Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) and Karnataka Chalnachitra Academy, will organise two-day programme here from April 26.
"We are trying to make it an august event. This event is not only to celebrate the success of the Kannada film industry, but also to look back and learn from our mistakes. To use that learning to carve out a better roadmap for the industry," SFC director T.S. Nagabharana told IANS.
"The two-day programme will also have lectures by cinema practitioners who will help us analyse where we stand vis-a-vis other film industries in the country," he added.
The event will also hold an exhibition on Kannada cinema.
"The exhibition will look back at different milestones our industry has achieved over the years. It will also feature rare posters and film related memorabilia," he said.
