The most common term used for delay by airlines is technical snag even though the reasons may be minor or major or life threatening or hoax.

According to reliable sources, there was no technical snag......As soon as the flight returned back to Muscat, 2 passengers were taken into custody by Oman police. Passengers of this particular flight will be able to narrate the fact.

I am the one who was traveled in this flight, and there was none de boarded all are inside the plane only, that to within 20 minutes the problem solved and the delay is due to off loading luggage of the family, who were not willing continue travel in the same flight, we had to continue travel after 2 hrs, and landed safely in Mangalore by 10.45pm, and thanks to the pilot whose timely action/decision to fly back to Muscat , save us all.
