Mangalore, Apr 14: “The environment in Kerala is favourable to BJP. There is a Modi wave too. BJP will win in Kasargod and Trivandrum,” said K Surendran, general secretary of Kerala state BJP.
He was addressing a press meet at the district BJP campaign office here on Monday April 14.
He said, "There is a secret understanding between the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the Congress. The UPA government led by Congress has a soft corner towards terrorism. All the terror incidents happening in the country have a link to Kerala and Dakshina Kannada. Only the BJP government can curb this terrorism. BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi too in his speech in Kasargod had said that Kerala has become a 'nursery' of terrorism. Modi has won the hearts of the people."
He said that Karnataka's Congress government is a carbon copy of the UDF in Kerala.
Levelling a serious allegation against AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi, Surendran said, "The Congress is questioning Modi's marital status by making personal attacks on him. In 2003, Rahul Gandhi had come to Kottayam along with a Colombian lady to the Kumarakom guest house and had stayed there for two days. The Congress leaders should inform the people as to who the lady was, where she is now and what relationship did Rahul Gandhi have with her.
"Is this righteousness? The Congress leaders who were busy in throwing personal attacks against Modi should answer to this."
He concluded saying, "If the BJP government comes to power at the center, the fishermen community and areca farmers will be benefited. The Congress has submitted an affidavit in the court seeking ban on areca. This is because of the lobbying by corporates and cigarette companies."
BJP district president Pratap Simha Nayak, Diwakar Samani, Nithin Shetty and others were present.
