Modi invites Gowda to Gujarat to spend 'retired' life

CHIKKABALLAPUR, Apr 13 (PTI): Narendra Modi on Sunday took a jibe at JDS chief H D Deve Gowda for his remark that he will "quit" Karnataka if BJP forms the government, saying the former PM was welcome in Gujarat where he will serve him more than his son.

"You are the former Prime Minister and I am like your son. If it has become difficult for you to stay here, I pray you, don't worry, I will extend all facilities in Gujarat for you.

"If you want to stay in an old age home, if you want to take a home there, if you want to stay in a farm house and if you want to stay with me, I will serve you more than your son. Please accept my invitation. I am ready to serve you," Modi, the BJP's prime ministerial candidate, said addressing a rally here.

Gowda had on Saturday said in Shimoga that would take "political sanyas" and quit his state if Modi-led BJP reached the magic figure of 272-plus seats to form government at the Centre.

"He can never reach his numbers. If he achieves it, then I will take political sanyas, "Gowda had told reporters, adding that BJP's ideology was aimed at destroying the unity and harmony in the country.

Modi, addressing the rally, urged the voters to elect not less than 300 BJP MPs to the Lok Sabha so as to provide a strong government at the Centre.

"If there is a strong government at the Centre, then we can take strong decisions and the country will become stronger," he said.

He claimed that Congress will fail to open its account in several states and will never cross the double digit in other states.

Modi raised the issue of interlinking of rivers, saying it is crucial for the country to keep a check on floods and drought.

"If we fail to interlink the rivers, nature will not forgive us. What kind of country is ours where on one hand villages are being destroyed because of floods and on the other end there is drought. We have to fulfil the promise of Atalji by linking the rivers," he said.

Calling them retarded is an insult to that category of differently able people. Though they do not interact with other people as normal persons do, they have better capabilities and different type of intellect and never indulge in mud slinging at one another. They love the people who take care of them and understand them unconditionally. Do these two idiots have any of these traits. Yesterday I happened to watch a portion of Aap Ki Adalat where Modi was the accused. To a question that Modi should ask for pardon for his atrocities committed, he stated that he begs for pardon every day every moment of his life. Will God ever forgive him for deserting his wife and forcing her to live a life of a widow, knowing very well that in our Hindu system, very rarely re-marriage is entertained, that too in such a tricky situation. I can only say his too polite a gesture is as the Kannada adage says "Athi Vinaya Dhoortha Lakshana". Only a villain can pose a façade of a very polite and good person. Hope our educated public will see through this mask while voting.

One should not compromise with internal peace for prosperity. If there is peace in the country's prosperity will come by itself. Internal peace will bring foreign investment in plenty and there comes prosperity. One need not do much about it. NaMo’s sarcasm on Former PM is appalling. That itself shows the quality of a prime ministerial candidate. All the political parties have corruption tag BJP has two CC tags corrupt and communal. Think and vote.

We guess you are a staunch Congress supporter, living in fools paradise, we just watched International news channels, which are monitoring Indian election with lot of interest, all of them are predicting, a change in the Guard, a new NDA Govt, their prediction & assessment never has been & can never go wrong. After Congress led UPA's 10yrs miserable, disastrous, scam & corrupt governance, can never win Indian voters trust & they deserve it. This is the reality, accept it or leave it, you will know when the results are announced on 16th May 2014. Mr. Modi will become PM of India,
We are equally scared about the next govt under Mr. Modi, because he has a certain agenda for India, which is dangerous to Democratic India, because India is a secular country, which respects all religion & Caste. As far as Ex PM Mr. Gowda is concerned, he is a spent force, his JD(S) has lost its base, he himself is struggling to keep his seat, as there are rumors that his arch rival CM Siddu is indirectly supporting BJP Candidate who is his good friend & a Kuruba. So Mr. Gowda pack your bags & prepare yourself to leave Karnataka permanently, accept Mr. Modi's invite to live in Gujarath.
We request all sensible voters of India to vote for clean & a non corrupt party- AAP (symbol Broom).

Fayaz..you are absolutely wrong. You may hate a person, but don't present false facts. Modi never deserted his mother. I have seen one documentary on Modi where as he doesn't involve his family in government functioning. He visits his mother twice a year to seek her blessings..one on his birthday and another on his mom's birthday. He clearly told that his family can visit him but cannot ask him any favours from government. With regard to wife he was not matured at that time. I think he was 17 at that time. Even during our times we don't know the reality of marriage. Modi is one geration senior than me and hence he too was not matured enough to understand about marriage. So, I completely disagree with your quote and my humble request is present the right facts. I am not telling that Modi is 100% right in whatever he does. Afterall, he is a human being and to err is human. Ultimately truth remains and nobody can steal the truth.

Modi during his visit to Mangalore seen many old Gujarati people taking rest in Kudroli Temple constructed under the blessings of Janardhan poojary.Modi has taken the chance to invite the Ex PM to Guj before JP could give the offer.
After all this election is between JP & Modi.I am sure Mr. DEve Gowda will accept Mr. Poojary's offer cos Poojary besides politics has given equal value to his family life too.

Let FEKU start living with his wife instead of going after another woman then talk about taking care of Gowda. Gowda can feed all the Gujarat in his home town from the food obtained from his field. Perhaps FEKU does not know this.

It is not appropriate for Mr. Modi to utter such a impolite joke. Let the PM candidate must either speak good or remain silent. Why punish an ex-prime minister so badly to spend retired life in Gujarat? Aakhir Aysee sazaa kyon ?

He did not say that, "If I will become PM, you will be safe throughout India". He invited him to Gujarat. That means he will remain in Gujrat and he speaks about Gujarat only.
