DUBAI , Jun 16: — A fashion show featuring Feroz Khan and prominent models were the highlight of the IIFA Film Festival held last night at the International Convention Centre here.
Diya Mirza hosted the glittering show with Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapur, Shilpa Shetty, Sunil Shetty, and Katrina Kaif, among others, in the limelight.
Amitabh has given his hand print to Dubai Studio City Hall of Fame.
Earlier in the day, Amitabh, actor Prabhu and director Vasu, graced the screening of Chandramukhi, the inaugural movie of IIFA film festival, at Grand Cineplex yesterday. Bachchan praised the South Indian movie industry produced more movies than Hindi movies.
Apparently as the security was tight, there were hardly any people to watch the movie, other than a few pass holders.
For those other than media personnel, access was strictly denied to the floors of Grand Hyatt in which the film personalities in large numbers were staying.
Doormen had a tough time identifying normal guests and film personalities to facilitiate passage.
Naseeruddin Shah, Feroz Khan, Fardeen Khan, Sunil Shetty, Jimmy Shergill, Hrithik Roshan, Konkana Sen, Saneha Ullal, Rohit Roy, and Himesh Reshamiya, Rasna Pathak, Ayesha Takia, Malvika and Asha Parekh were among the visible presence at the Grand Hyatt yesterday.
Feroz Khan, his son Fardeen Khan, and Sunil Shetty held a press conference on the remake of his film Qurbani into a new film, named, Kurbani.
Naseeruddin Shah with his co-stars held a press conference on his movie, 'Yunn Hota To Kya Hota'.
