Bangalore, Apr 11: Adding to its growing list of national and international awards and recognition, Bangalore’s Clarks Exotica Resort & Spa owned by famous NRI Ronald Colaco won the prestigious South India Travel Award for ‘Ultimate Service Award in Hospitality’ in Hyderabad on March 27.
The tourism minister of Hyderabad presented the award at the Radisson Hotel which was packed to capacity with several recipients of awards in different categories related to the travel and hospitality industry.
Clarks Exotica was also featured in the 'Collector’s Edition' which was released by the tourism minister of Hyderabad.
Nigel Colaco, hotel director of projects and Balaji M, vice-president, Clarks Exotica Resort & Spa received the Award amidst applause from the august gathering.
The Award was instituted in the year 2005 with the initiative from ‘Incredible India’ and ‘The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Association of India.’
There were various other winners including Philippines Tourism, airlines, airports and the like. Most of the awards went to the travel and hospitality sector.
With this, Clarks Exotica Resort & Spa has followed up in its high class hospitality services which had been highlighted when it received the 6th Golden Star Award in Mumbai in February this year. Before the Mumbai award, the hotel was conferred the “Best Practices 2013” award at the Hotel Parkhotel, Schonbrunn, Vienna in Austria on December 8, 2013 by the European Society for Quality Research, Switzerland. Earlier, the hotel won the most coveted International Quality Summit 2013 award at the New York Mariott Marquis Hotel, New York on May 27, 2013, conferred by Business Initiative Directions, Madrid, Spain.
Well-known entrepreneur and philanthropist Ronald Colaco who owns the huge property based near the Bangalore International Airport is the force behind the success of the Resort & Spa.
One should not be surprised if more awards are to follow when one sees the resounding success and popularity of the prestigious Bangalore hotel both in India and abroad.
