Chennai, April 6 (IANS): Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer Telugu action-drama "Legend" has raked in Rs.31 crore in the first week of its release worldwide and a trade pundit describes its success as a good start for summer.
Boyapati Srinu's directorial venture, reportedly made on a budget of Rs.40 crore, also earned Rs.15 crore from satellite, audio and distribution rights.
"In the first week, 'Legend' has minted Rs.31 crore worldwide. This is a great start to the film, which had already collected about Rs.15 crore from satellite, audio and distribution rights. It has turned out to be the first hit of this summer," trade analyst Trinath told IANS.
Featuring Balakrishna in the double role, the film sees stars like Jagapathi Babu, Radhika Apte and Sonal Chauhan.
Currently busy campaigning for Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Balakrishna will team up with debutant director Satya for yet-untitled Telugu actioner, which will go on floors post 16th Lok Sabha elections.
