Mangalore, Apr 5: Well-known Mangalorean entrepreneur and philanthropist from Dubai, Michael D'Souza endorsed Aam Aadmi Party candidate M R Vasudeva from Dakshina Kannada constituency with not only a generous donation but even by urging all NRIs to support Aam Aadmi Party for a better India and a better Mangalore.
D'Souza visited Mangalore's AAP office recently to pledge his support to the party. Incidentally, AAP party office was also donated by him on lease, free of cost.
"People who vote for the established parties of the last century are indirectly supporting a corrupt and ineffective system that is responsible for the way in which politics has been conducted in the past 67 years, both at the state and national levels. Politicians have grabbed too much power and neither the Congress nor the BJP and all other regional parties want to change the system and give up their excessive and extraordinary discretionary powers. People who continue to vote as they have done so in the past, are either very well aware of the facts or simply ignorant," said Michael D'Souza.
"Now we have another viable choice in the Aam Aadmi Party and its DK candidate M R Vasudeva. In such a short period of time the AAP has shaken up the system, it is fighting for the aam aadmi, who is struggling to survive and is bringing about much needed change in a democratic manner. The AAP deserves the support and vote of well meaning patriotic people who wish to see a better India. A vote for Vasudeva is a vote for progress and a break from the past," he said.
Michael D'Souza also urged generous NRI entrepreneurs and others to contribute and support AAP so that strong and corrupt-free nation is built.
"I am quite impressed with the policies of AAP. Every rupee donated is transparent and details are available in their website. AAP is the only party to facilitate such a transparent method. This shows how we can get rid of corruption by simply being transparent," he said while speaking to daijiworld, after his visit to AAP office.
