Mumbai, Jun 12: "The importance of education obtained through hard work and difficulties remains for ever. Any help, extended towards imparting education is indeed a meritorious deed. Those who seek assistance for their education never forget the help they received and also offer the same to their future generations to clear their debt of gratitude. This way, welfare of each society is possible, which leads to overall development of the nation," said Jagannath V Kotian.
He was speaking at the programme hosted by Billawa Association Goregaon to distribute free books to children, held at he Crystal auditorium of Lalit hotel in Goregaon West.
The chief guest was businessman Babu Bhai Rathod who inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. He then distributed the free books to children and wished them a bright future.
Association members' children Lavika Tonse and Anusha Pujary began the programme with a prayer. Committee vice-president Ravi Pujary welcomed the gathering while secretary Shashikala Kotian compered and proposed the vote of thanks.
