Mangalore, Mar 31: There is a change in the venue in connection with the youth voters awareness campaign of former President of India, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, who is scheduled to interact with students in the city. The programme, being held in the city on Tuesday April 1, will be held in Dr T M A Pai International Convention Centre at M G Road here, instead of Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat’s Netravati auditorium as announced earlier.
Dr Kalam will arrive at the venue at 4.30 pm. Addressing a press conference on Sunday March 30, deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, A B Ibrahim, said that students from medical, engineering, and degree colleges can take part in the programme, subject to holding identity cards issued by respective colleges.

Questions in fields like development, administrative system, democracy, role of youth in nation building, etc will be entertained. She said that the restriction on number of student participants from each college has been removed. However, the students should be voters, and they need to be present at the venue by 4 pm because of security considerations, she added.
