Fujairah (UAE), Jun 8: Sheikh Mohammad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan along with Sheikh Mohammad Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Shiekh Makhtoum Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Hamid Mohamed Obeid Kattami, minsiter of health, Khalifa Nasser Al Suwaidi, chairman of Red Crescent and Thumbay Moideen, founder president of GMC Hospital inaugurated the Gulf Medical College Hospital – Red Crescent, Fujairah on Tuesday, June 6.
The dignitaries took a tour of the hospital and appreciated the facilities and infrastructure of the hospital and later inaugurated the Public Health Clinic. The Public Health Clinic offers various services like Health Card Renewal, Health Fitness Certificate for Residence Visa and VIP service. On the day of Inauguration a Free Health Camp was conducted at GMC Hospital, Fujairah and more than 200 people participated in the Camp.
The Gulf Medical College Hospital, Fujairah will initially have 20 beds capacity and will be upgraded to a 60-bedded full-fledged multi-specialty hospital providing quality care at affordable prices. The hospital is equipped with various specialty departments and services supported by highly qualified and experienced doctors, technicians and trained nurses.
The following services will be immediately operational: Operation Theatres, ICU, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, Dental, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, General Medicine, 24 hours Emergency, Inpatient Services & Outpatient Services.
The vision of the hospital is to make the Gulf Medical College Hospital, Fujairah a world-class tertiary healthcare centre. The mission of the GMC Hospital, Fujairah is to provide comprehensive healthcare services at affordable prices and support the mission and activities of Red Crescent Society, UAE.
This is also the first Pilot Project jointly between Red Crescent Society, UAE and GMC Hospital.
