Fr K J Thomas murder: Kannada priests claim arrested are 'innocent'

From Our Special Correspondent
Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Mar 22: A day after the police claimed credit for cracking the year-old ghastly murder of the Rector of St Peter’s Pontifical Seminary, Fr K J Thomas, and announced the arrest of three persons, including two priests, a large contingent of Kannada priests cried foul and alleged that two priests – Fr William Patrick and Fr Elias – accused of bludgeoning the 62-year-old Rector were ''framed” and held that they were ''totally innocent.”

About 50 priests and a religious sister, who turned up at a hurriedly convened press conference on the very next day after the arrests under the banner of Karnataka Kannada Dharmagurugala Balaga (forum of Kannada priests) at the Bangalore Press Club on Saturday, led by the Balaga President Fr Chasara claimed that Fr William Patrick and Fr Elias ''are innocent” and the ''charges levied by the police of Karnataka are far from truth and facts.”

Fr K J Thomas

Holding the Archbishop of Bangalore Dr Bernard Moras, State Home Minister K J George and the former DCP Victor D’Souza responsible for ''hatching the conspiracy” to fix the Kannada priests, especially Fr Willian Patrick, General Secretary of the Balaga, to break the unity of the Kannada Catholic priests, Fr Chasara and other priests in their press release demanded the resignation of the Archbishop ''till the entire investigation is complete” and urged the State Government to ''order an immediate halt to our Archbishop’s foreign tour (to Rome), which is scheduled on Sunday and he should also be subjected for investigation to arrive at the truth (sic).”

They also ''vociferously” demanded an ''independent and effective, impartial CBI inquiry in the present case” and vowed to ''continue our constitutional, democratic and legal struggles till we arrive at logical and truthful end.” The Balaga further asserted that it will move the High Court with a writ petition seeking a CBI probe into the murder case and said that it would be filed in the next three to four days.

''We strongly and vehemently deny the false, fabricated, conspired and framed charges against the priests,” Fr Chasara said and expressed the ''total displeasure and heartfelt pain about twisting and turning the brutal murder of  the Rector into an instrument to put down four decades of intensive struggle by the Kannada Christians for just rights in the Archdiocese of Karnataka.”

Mother, sister, brother present

All the priests and the lone religious sister, who is the real sister of Fr William Patrick, who attended the press conference wearing Cassoks and religious dress, along with a few lay Kannada Catholic Sangha activists like Raphael Raj and Rita Rini, issued an unsigned press release under the Balaga name and address, declared: ''In this case, Fr William Patrick and Fr Elias are innocent and the charges levied by the police are from truth and facts. We vehemently refute the charges.”

Fr Bartholomew, Fr Fathiraj and many other priests active in the campaign of Kannada Catholics as also Fr William Patrick’s mother, Mariamma, and brother Lourduswamy attended the press conference.

The claim made by the State Director General of Police Lalrokhuma Pachau, Bangalore City Police Commissioner Raghavendra Auradkar and Joint Commissioner Pranab Mohanty, while announcing the cracking of the ''high profile and sensitive” murder case and the arrests of the two priests and a layperson, Peter, and that the trio ''confessed to the offence” when they ''were subjected to detailed interrogation,” was ''far from truth and false,” Fr Chasara said.

Archbishop, K J George, Victor D’Souza blamed

Blaming the Archbishop, State Home Minister K J George and the former DCP Victor D’Souza of being part of the ''conspiracy to frame the Kannada fathers in the case,” Fr Chasara said: ''Our apprehension is that we will not get justice from our Home Minister, who is a Catholic but belonging to different linguistic community (Malayalee). Neither the Archbishop, who has always from the beginning set his foot on the local Catholics and specially the Kannada priests, nor from the investigating officer, who has conducted the investigation one-sided and nailed the local priests on the advice of the Home Minister and the Bishop, DCP Victor D’Souza will deliver justice and conduct impartial investigations with their prejudiced antecedents (sic).”

Fr Chasara claimed that reports in a section of the media, quoting police sources, indicated that Fr Elias was involved in the murder for the sake of position in the Seminary. ''There is absolutely no connection to Fr Elias and the Seminary. He is a religious priest trained in the seminaries of OCD Order in Mangalore and Mysore. If he has to fight for position, he has to do that in these seminaries and not in St Peter’s Pontifical Seminary.  Even if he (Fr Elias) or Fr William Patrick did so, there is no chance that he would be getting a position here,” he said adding: ''The investigating team has conducted the inquiries with little or partial knowledge about the systems of the Church institutions and therefore the investigation is highly questionable.”

''Right from the Vatican to the Home Minister, there was a great pressure on police to crack the case as early as possible. The Chief Minister had given a deadline to complete the investigation before March 30, Fr Chasara said and alleged that ''the decisions to target the local Catholics is taken from the Archbishop’s chambers. Such being the case, the innocents have been targeted with an ulterior motive of victimization.”

Why the sudden haste to arrest?

"We  come to know that the messages and exposing of the Archbishop in one of the panel discussions held in a electronic media made him implicate the Kannada priests as an act of revenge (sic),” he said wondering why the investigation that were carried out over the last 11 months without producing any result were ''hastily concluded in one month.”

''This happens to the benefit of the Archbishop, who had already turned the line of investigation, which is supported by the Home Minister. The police, who said they had no sufficient clues to conclude investigation, all of a sudden, comes out with circumstantial evidences and loose statements as grounds to arrest innocent persons,” he said.

He also questioned how the police top brass awarded  the investigating officers with cash prizes ''even before the completion of investigation at the behest of some unknown persons” and said the exercise looks like a ''mockery of the system.”

Rita Rini, Editor of Mathukate Kannada magazine, joined Fr Chasara in demanding that those guilty of murdering Fr K J Thomas, who was never against Kannada, must be identified and punished and even hanged, argued that innocent priests should not be foisted with false charges. Both claimed that none of the trio of Fr William Patrick, Fr Elias or Peter were subjected to polygraph or brain mapping tests and narco-analysis and were suddenly selected as the soft targets. They asked why the Procurator, Fr Patrick Xavier, who was staying in the neighbouring room of the deceased Fr K J Thomas and had been subjected to polygraph and narco tests and sustained interrogation since the murder, had been left out.

Shimoga Bishop’s appointment linked

While Mariamma, mother of Fr William Patrick, claimed that her son was ''totally innocent” and had not committed any crime, except espousing the cause of Kannada Catholics and priests, if it was crime. Fr William Patrick’s brother, Lourduswamy, claimed that he was summoned to the Yeshwanthpur police station at 5.30 pm on Friday, when his brother was brought in a police jeep, and ''both of us were asked to sign  documents, the copies of which were not given to either of us. “ Fr William Patrick was produced before the First City Additional Judge Kalmadi at his residence at 9.30 pm on Friday and was told to tell the judge that he was arrested at 5.30 pm and has now been remanded to police custody for 7 days.

Fr Chasara also claimed that the Archbishop had selected 42 priests of the Archdiocese for a foreign tour in two batches, which included Fr William Patrick, and each of the chosen priests were given Rs 1 lakh. But Fr William Patrick was suddenly recalled from his tour and taken by the police into custody.

''This is a warning to Kannada priests and their associations. Within 2 days, Fr Francis Serrao (Karnataka Provincial of Jesuits), a Mangalorean Konkani speaking priest, has been named the Bishop of Shimoga. The arrests of the Kannada priests coming soon after the appointment precedes Archbishop’s visit to Rome, he claimed.

    Hi Dass,
Sad to know that you knowing abt the history and have still not attempted to understand the democratic approach of Fr Chasara and team, Would like to let you know that is it better to keep quite if you know only partial story behind kannada catholics in karnataka.I urge you to gauge the contribution the Fr Chasara to the church.
To all others, Im sure you will all be able to understand the cause behind these protests and a question to all...For a yr the police were investigating the case & were silent I wonder how they were able to crack it when a deadline was set to either arrest or the case to be submitted to CBI for further investigation, this leaves a grey area.
Nevertheless, If the arrested priests are actual culprits, they will have to bear lawful punishments but truth must be revealed.

I wish to share my own experience: I have filed a court case against a Senior Priest his mother and his cousins for forging signatures on property documents. The case is currently ongoing in Pondicherry. It is very disturbing when Priests use their position for material gain for their immediate family members. Feel free to contact for details of this case...this is a real eye opener. I am a Catholic too...but a shaken one for the moment.

    > freeedom of everything but following the rule of law,
    > freedom to express yourself as long as you follow the golden rule " do not do unto others what you do not want others do unto you"

democratic rights is basically freedom to everything but to follow the rules and regulations of the land, and every institutions and to respect one another.

    Fr.Chasara,
Learn to build the church and not divide the church in name of language.
Do some good to the world following the footsteps and Christ himself and the examplanary lives of all the saints of the church.
Hope you are listening to all this.

I have a question to you,.....
When you took your vow as a priest did you take the vow of dividing the church as a kannada church and tamil church? I am from Karnataka too, and I too love kannada, but i dont think we have to fight to pray in a particular language only.

And please, Stop blaming the Bishop for every nuisense you do. If the two priest who are accused now are innocent, they will be free soon,, as the Truth will set them free, but if they are the real culprits, then remember your doing a big mistake in supporting the accused.

So, even if you don't agree it here, you surely must be aware of all the injustice meted out towards Kannada, its people and the priests in our diocese. Enough damage has been done to Kannada Catholics during these decades.Let the resurrection of our Lord bring peace and harmony to the people of our diocese and in particular, into the hearts of the people running it.

Dear Rev.Fathers in Karnataka,It is very sad to hear that very few priests join hands with culprits to save them. LORD JESUS came to redeem us and suffered and redeemed. You priests say to follow the footpath of our Lord Jesus. Lay people having in mind trying their maximum to follow His ways. But you priests (few) are trying to colour our Catholic religion ( to put it in a small round)as Kannadam,Telugu,Tamil,Malayalam,Hindi etc.It is a very shameful act.First of all, I am a Human being in the world and then Indian,Catholic. Wherever we go we worship our Lord Jesus Christ. There is no caste, creed ,language, in our mind and Everyone feels that we are Catholics. Dear Fr. Chasara and you, team, Please don't sow poison in the minds of people and you will reap the same,if you do so.Law will do its own action. But God knows the fact. The truth will be revealed soon.

So Fr.Chasara and the team must realise that we are in the world for short period given time by God to do good deeds in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.Bear in mind Culprits can not escape before God and Justice will win. Hence,I request you, dear father Chasara and team that you must stop such kind of narrow and wrong mindness. We pray, May God, our Lord Jesus Christ and Mother Mary show you all, the LIGHT," THE TRUTH"

Are the two so professional? Here shows how suitcases between the church authorities n the government has played its role to finish it all.

    Fr.Chasara,
First your team raised the caste issue, then protest against tamil language in church and tamil priests, followed by war against konkani language in the diocese and now in the name of support to kannada priests sidelining yourself with accused priests knowing well the story of peter's seminary and to prevent further arrests. ( may be you also). Our's is the most respected religion in the world. Please respect your priesthood vows. Your team has caused enough damage to the Diocese and the catholics in Bangalore ( Asssault of archbishop Arockia Swamy during chrism mass on Maundy Thursday years ago) and writing against only non kannada priests particularly Tamil priests in your mouth piece magazine MATHUKATHE. Please tell the people your original name and the reason for changing as Chesara. Please let the resurrection of our Lord bring peace and harmonly to the people of our Diocese in particular and Catholics in general. With regard to the arrest of accused let the law takes its course. Why do you label them as innocents?

It’s so strange that so many who have commented here claim to be ‘Kannada Christians’ but are unaware of Fr.Chasara’s contribution to Christian literature and liturgy. There is so much talk about the love of god ,forgiveness and at the same time, so much venom and hatred towards Kannada Catholics in these comments.

I think too much has been spoken about this incident. The Church should not be divided on the basis of caste, rites, languages, color, etc. It is a shame that learned people like us in the Church are defaming the Church with these petty issues. Fights, quarrels, disagreements and dharnas may appear for a just cause, but then we are not able to save our own priests in the Church and if the Church personnel are behind this incident it is really shameful. let all priests and religious remember that we could also be subject to this kind of cruelty may be today maybe tomorrow. So then let us join hands and find the culprit and bring justice to this grievous instance. Let us not fight like the pagans. May the guilty come out and confess and gain eternal life.

Fr. Chasara, do you think those who Konkani are not kannadigas? What about the people from other parts of Karnataka? We studied in Kannada medium school, we use Kannada for daily communication are we not Kannadigas? If you say that only people from Mysore, Bangalore, shimoga are kannadigas what is your understanding of “kannadiga”?
Fr Chasara and so called Kannada Dharmagurugala Balaga, in which language did you do your priestly studies? In Kannada?......
You question the Police saying why those priests are arrested in haste? What haste? They took almost one year for investigation and arrests. If they have done the investigation in haste, why did they zero in and arrest one from Kengeri, other from Gulbarga and the other from some other location? Where is your rational thinking?
Now when three persons are arrested in the murder case you hold demonstrations, saying they are innocent. Where was this kannada Dharmagurugala balaga when Fr Thomas was murdered? Why did you not hold any demonstrations demanding a speedy inquiry or arrests of the culprits?
Fr Chasara, please use your strength to unite the people and do good to people. Please do not create groups based on language.... this is not going to do any good to the church. It is clear that in this act fr.chasara is the main culprit and he should be arrested immediately and have a narcotic test on him, truth will come out very fast.

    This is for everybody's information:
First of all, do we need fanatic minded forums in the Church....
All these erring priests should be stripped and thrown out
These priests in this so called "Balaga" have a One point agenda - That is creating commotion in the church on the basis of Language....
How many of you know that the leaders of this forum namely Fr. A.Thomas, Fr. Chowrappa Selvaraj ( Cha Sa Ra ), Fr. William Patrick (accused) and the majority of this "Balaga" members are in fact TELUGU speaking migrants from Andhra who are creating a ruckus in the Arch Diocese of Bangalore.... Who are these people to tell us Konkani speaking Mangaloreans that we dont belong to Karnataka when the fact is they are not from Karnataka....
Raphael Raj mentioned in the news item above also is a Telugu man having many cases of violence and Goonda act conferred on him by the Police dept....
This Fr. A Thomas is supposed to be running a parallel diocese of his own with foreign funding along with these erring priests.....
As for Rita Rini, it will be very useful if Fr.Ch sa ra himself can clarify what is she doing in this forum and about their relationship....
Another priest, Fr. Bartholomew another active member of this Balaga and from Tumkur parish had a rape case on him when he was in Kunigal....

Shortly, India will become like European countries, where Catholics stop going to church. This is because of Bishops and Priests. I have told many priests and nuns that Indian Catholics may follow the same. There absolutely no understanding among Catholic priests and one priest, always talk ill about the other priest. We lay Catholics are much much better. Our so called Spiritual leaders and
Advisors must change and work in a team. It is better to bring back Latin as a Liturgical language, So that we can have mass in one language.

" In simple language, what was implied is, if one does not have a vocation or the calling, but joins priesthood, the result is what these 50 priests from the BALAGA are ..... the rest I leave to the enlightened readers to understand. Nowhere have I implied that only the poor join the seminary, many Rich, good and aristocratic families in Mangalore have their sons and daughters in the service of the Lord - and they have and are outstanding, see the Karnataka Jesuits for example.

What you need is to know that, what is the main aim of a priest? If you are God fearing and God loving priest, prayerful priest, and true priest of Christ is enough for people of any language to hold you in great esteem.

Dear Fr Chesara, instill confidence in the heart of your superiors by working and feeling with the Church of the Lord "SENTIRE CUM ECCLEASIA" by true sincerity,by honesty, by respectful obedience to the authority, by accountability, by transparency, and by the prayerful life, by hard working for the Lord. Constructive CRITICISM IS WELCOME BUT THE DESTRUCTIVE CRITICISM IS VERY BAD. STOP IT.

If some of these traits are found in any of you "BALAGA" immediately the Vatican would make you Bishops, Cardinals and may be elect you as the Pope. But if your behaviour as priests is laughable and not trust-able, not holy in nature, that is because you have stopped praying to the Lord, may be soon after your Ordination itself. The entire "KKDB" group of priests need to do an examination of conscience "WHY THEY ARE THE PRIESTS OF THE LORD?".

is this protest and press conference is to evade further arrests and protect the murderers ? It looks like some murder partners have begun to shiver with fear and making big noise. Landed from Andhra and showing their love for Kannada. Hypocrites, not worth to be Priests.

I am really pained by seeing the developments about the murder of sincere Catholic Priest Fr. Thomas ( R.I.P.) Now, we were praying for the innocent soul of Fr. Francis, we were praying to God to give us justice and punish the murderers.
After a long and thorough investigation by concerned agencies of govt have to an conclusion, without any interference from Church authorities or political admin.
Now Police Dept has caught the culprits.

Now I have 1000 questions about the press conference by so called Kannada Priests' press conference.
    1. Where were these priests when our senior priest was murdered like an animal?
    2. Now, after catching the culprits why they are raising their voice.
    3. Why for each and everything they are blaming our Archbishop?
    4. How these have become Catholic priests, on which oath, is to promote Kannada language or to practice and preach Christ's message.
    5. Do they have the guts to challenge the police report in the court?
    6. If these are the priests and teaching our youngsters what we can expect from these so called priests.
    7. How many out of these have made money( in crores) under different headings and cheated Catholic. Faithful.
8 Why they have woken up now is it because home minister is christian, Archbishop, is sincere shepherd or police force is sincere? or they are feared some more so called Kannadiga ( annadi) priests are will be arrested?
    9. I am sorry to accept these goondas as my priest who are not in Christ's spirit.
    10. I request church authorities to excommunicate these priests and may police dept have an investigation on their behavior and catch all the culprits and give them rigorous punishment so that no evil minded so called catholic priests are no more inside the church as judases.

He should be stripped of his Priesthood and sidelined immediately along with his supporters. "Lord forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing".

I don't want to get into the language politics here but express my personal conviction. As for me, Fr William Patrick is innocent. I don't know the other two, so I can't speak about them. It is sad to hear the he is arrested. I too know that Fr. Chasara and Fr Fathiraj are of Telugu origin like many of our so called "Kannada priests" who are in the "Balaga". I only pray that the real culprits in our "Fr K J Thomas' murder case" are booked and brought to Justice and not diverted by language and political issues.

What is happening to the church. I am feeling shame to say that within the church fighting for languages, mine is great you're is not. I would like to say shut your mouths, and enough and more prejudices and justifications on the basis of language. We are not serving the language kannada or konkani or tamil etc. We are serving the Lord who called each one of us to work for him to bring the kingdom of Heaven that is just and happy kingdom...joy of the Gospel. Let us stop our petty fights and misunderstanding. What we lack is " let us talk about it sitting together what is wrong and what can be done to build the church more united." instead we are allowing our ego to devour us and it is a clear sign of the evil working in us. Let us not blame like Adam and Eve. I can say if people have killed an innocent man, the innocent blood that is split will cry and it will destroy all who ever involved in the murder. Jesus said who ever raises the sword will perish by it. So let the police do their duty.

    Dear faithful
It is some time this linguistic tussle is going on. Within Karnataka, there is no scope for people speaking native language except Kannada. Others from neighboring states are not even touched by these people. A small group of misguided Kannadigas create an atmosphere where faith is sidelined and political tone is highlighted.
I wish a person with Sardar Patel's caliber dawn upon India and avoid this linguistic division. Language based statehood was for administrative convenience and not for divisive actions.
We pray that the good lord enlighten all faithful with wisdom.

Santhosh BV , Ignorance is no one's monopoly. Before writing sweeping comments like all priests and nuns were poor and joined the priesthood for economic reasons and bla bla, means either you check your general awareness about religious. Kindly don’t mix up the things and generalize. Poverty is mostly a state of mind and by and large has nothing to do with economic status. No doubt the so called Karnataka Kannada Dharmagurugala Balaga has forgotten the basic tenants of Christianity and the sacrament of priesthood, it does not mean that it is because of what you said. Positions in religious order go by who is what to the heads or consultants in position and power rather than by anyone’s language, skin colour or educational accomplishments or past track records.

Please do not create groups based on language.... this is not going to do any good to the church

It is pertinent to comment on the allegations some of the priests have leveled against Archbishop Bernard Moras. He is not a party to any evidence leading to the arrest of three individuals. It is time that all concerned viz Kannadigas, Tamilians and people from Kerala put their heads together and come to a rational understanding. After all, they are Catholics working under the same banner. Making a particular reference to the remarks made against Archbishop Moras, if he was against Father Patrick why would engage the services of a lawyer to arrange a bail for him. Again, why would Archbishop Moras be against any section and more particularly the kannadigas 'cause he himself (Archbishop Moras) is a person from the kannada section.

Under the prevailing situation, it is time that all sections of the communities meet and settle the issue in a christian spirit.

With regard to the allegations that three people have been unjustly implicated, the matter will go before a judge and let him decide re: the innocence of the priests as per the evidence.

It is clear that Archbishop Moras had nothing to do with the arrest of the two priests. The department of crime took a year to collect evidence based on which the arrests have been made. If any one is not satisfied with the action of the police. they are free to question their action before a competent authority.

While on the subject, I fail to understand why the appointment of Father Francis Serrao as bishop of Shimoga be brought in.

    Dinesh Poojary,
This is not a Congress-BJP issue. As Jesus' followers, Kannada-speaking Christians don't need "Kannada supremacy in churches". If someone wants their language to play a lead role at worshiping places, then he is not fit to be a Christian. A church is a place where Christians gather to worship and not to play politics of any kind. Do you think God knows only Kannada? Whether Tamils and Keralites allow worship in Kannada or not, why should we use tit-for-tat method? What is the point in worshiping if you are not in peace with your fellow-believers? How can you pray in another language if you are not well-versed or comfortable in that language? Praying is not a parrot-talk, one has to meditate while praying and how can you meditate in a language that you don't know? If someone wants to go to Tamil or Malayalam service, let him go, don't force him to attend Kannada-only service. If we bring politics into religion, there would be tension among devotees and there would be no peace. We have heard communal riots and we will hear riots among people belonging to the same faith.

The forum of Kannada priests is a selfish and very proud priests' group. The entire Karnataka Kannada Dharmagurugala Balaga should go for a renewal course in "Priesthood and the pastoral service of the People of God. The priests of Christ are to promote all languages and peoples of the world. Jesus came to give comfort to all and not illogically fight with the Phareese, Saddiseese and the Scribes.

Waging war based on any language, in our Karnataka set up is wrong. Be always optimistic and generous and build life, but NO way of giving Discomfort to any human being.

Fr Chasara please use all your God given ENERGY to build humanity and Do not use it to destroy it. You are a consecrated and made holy person. Sometimes i wonder why we have to become priests and religious, when we are hurting the mother church with divisions based on language? we need to be shamed today! stop being silly minded rather think we all belong to christ and christ alone! and if still want to continue fighting for this cause which divides our identity as followers of Christ, then we need to think seriously of our own vocation! are we called to fight for lanuage or fight for Christ values? this case is one solution as i see, to find out our call if it really orients us towards Jesus? if not, our life will wasted in fighting and without true happiness !

Then it is for all of us, along with the investigating agency to find, who did it. The police didn't jump to the conclusion the next day, nor did they pick the neighbors as the suspect. It is a disgrace to all Christians that these (so called) learned Priests are questioning the credibility of the State Police in what apparently seems to be a case which has been professionally solved. These 50 priests and the nun who are supposed to be beyond caste and creed are choosing to talk about "Kannadiga" "Malayalee" "Tamillina" "Konkani" etc., As Catholics does it matter what state one comes from ? What did you 50 "Kannada priests" under the banner of Karnataka Kannada Dharmagurugala Balaga (forum of Kannada priests) learn in the seminary ??? There is no doubt that there is politics everywhere, why then did you opt to wear the Religious Robes and take the Priestly vows ?? To the best of my knowledge, persons who join the religious orders, be it priests or nuns, with the sole aim of leaving their poverty stricken life and "Hope" to make it big in the religious set up are the ones who bring disrepute to the any faith. Dear Padrees, please go back and reflect, don't ruin the holy season of lent with your ulterior motives. If you still feel that injustice has been done, approach the higher courts, and if he ruling again gos against yourselves, please leave the religious order and struggle like us common folk to earn our daily bread and butter. Let the Archbishop also come out with facts - especially regarding the so called - QUOTE " Fr Chasara also claimed that the Archbishop had ed 42 priests of the Archdiocese for a foreign tour in two batches, which included Fr William Patrick, and each of the chosen priests were given Rs 1 lakh. But Fr William Patrick was suddenly recalled from his tour and taken by the police into custody." As per scripture, different Churches are like parts of one body, i.e. JESUS CHRIST.
As per the scriptures, all Churches should be united. Each Church may have their level playing field.
But here, in the Catholic Church itself, there is an influence of division on the basis of Kannada, Konkani, Tamil, Malayali, Telugu, English etc? What are we going to achieve from this? Whom are we going to serve? Sad!
