Mangalore, Mar 22: The investigating officers who looked into the December 18, 2013 kidnap of medical students, blackmail, and forced sex incident at Derlakatte near here, have concluded in the charge sheet that the entire episode was pre-planned. They have pointed out that the accused had talked to the affected persons before the incident, adding that this shows the act was deliberate and planned in advance.

As many as 68 witnesses have been listed in the charge sheet filed in the court containing 554 pages. The policemen, who claim that the investigation is still in progress, plan to file a detailed charge sheet after the conclusion of the investigation. The charge sheet mentions about the verification of video graphing of the incident and the voices recorded therein, and that the experts have concluded that the recorded voices belong to the accused.
The fact that the accused had repeatedly tried to mislead the investigators through their deliberate act of raking up names of some accused in the home stay raid case also finds a place in the charge sheet. It also contains details about the ownership of houses in Katipalla and Vorkady where the victims had been forcibly taken to, as well as of the car and motor bikes used for the task. It also says that the victims were forced to consume Viagra tablets with a view to force them to indulge in sexual activities.
