Abu Dhabi June 6: Abu Dhabi is gearing up well for the historic first visit of a Karnataka Chief Minister to the Gulf. Surprisingly though every time a Chief Minister was invited to the Gulf, his visits have been cancelled due to last minute hitches. However, this time the jinx is all set to be broken and he will be making his maiden visit to the Gulf.

As per the schedule, the young and energetic CM H.D.Kumaarswamy will disembark at Dubai International Airport Dubai at 10.30 PM on Wednesday 7th June 2006 to participate at the grand Silver Jubilee celebration of the Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha.

Hectic activities are going on in planning the tour itineraries so as to make this tour an event to remember, said President Sarvotham Shetty.

From the Airport the CM and his high level business delegates will be driven directly to the Capital Abu Dhabi.

In tune with the image of the technically savvy and action oriented profile of CM, many official engagements have been planned.

Thursday 8th May will kick off a whirlwind tour with a fast track visit to New Dubai followed by an official engagement iwith H.H Sheikh Hamdan at Abu Dhabi in the evening. There after, Hon’ble CM will woo the NRI’s and the Local Citizens to invest in Karnataka at an ‘Investors Meet’ which will be hosted by the Indian Business & Professional Group Abu Dhabi.

At the D day on Friday the CM and the dignitaries will participate in the Grand Silver Jubilee Celebration of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha which is slated to go down in the history as one of magnificent event ever been held before in the Gulf.
 
After a well deserved rest on Friday evening the Chief Minister’s entourage will drive back towards Dubai on Saturday 10th June and CM is slated to address a joint meeting hosted by Karnataka Sangha Dubai and The Dubai Chamber of Commerce at Indian Consulate Auditorium. In between CM will also visit Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, Investment Authority and Neo Pharma at Musafa. All along this hectic schedule, our Grand Paton Dr..B.R.Shetty will accompany, guide and show the CM the great stride & accomplishment of this Nation which is a sweet home for thousands of Kannadigas.

Taking a glance at the schedule of the Hon’ble CM H.D. Kumarswamy, we see that he will make us remember the maiden speech of him taking the solemn oath where in he has declared that that he will be always awake to solve the problems of Kannadigas and that he is determined to lead the State to prosperity and affluence - Dawn of a Golden era in the Golden Jubilee year of the State.
 
For the Kannadigas of the Emirates who have been concerned why our erstwhile Chief Ministers have ignored this area while the other State Chiefs have harvested the benefits of this place, then here comes a solace. This young, dynamic and agile Chief Minister is all set to triumph over the others and create a lasting friendship between Karnataka and the United Arab Emirates.
