Mumbai, March 8 (IANS): Kolkata-based designer Sayantan Sarkar will bring a taste of “new age romance” via his collection at the forthcoming edition of Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) summer-resort 2014, which begins here March 12.
The collection is titled 'A Motley Love'.
“The collection is inspired by the motley emotion called love, dedicated to the urbane individuals who despite being amidst the chaos of life, find humour in redefining love. This new age romance exhibits ‘urbanised’ emotions,” the designer said in a statement.
From jumpsuits to dresses and jackets to draped trousers, the collection comprises a quirky range of layered silhouettes for both men and women.
“Spring is here, and its vibrant forecast has us dreaming of all the ways to prep up an attire that perfectly reflects its rainbow hues,” added Sarkar.
The fabrics used in the collection include georgette, flat chiffon and linen on shades like tangerine-orange, crab-red, off-white, indigo alongside hints of fuchsia, turquoise and sunshine-yellow.
