Operations resume at Abu Dhabi airport

Abu Dhabi, March 6 (IANS/WAM): Take-off and landing operations resumed Thursday at the Abu Dhabi International Aiport after the airport's operations were affected due to thick fog.

The airport said in a statement that due to the extreme low visibility conditions, 37 aircraft were diverted to other airports in the region due to the operational challenges.

Of these, 14 flights were diverted to Al Ain, three to Dubai, one to Al Bateen Airport, six to Muscat, two to Damam and one to Bahrain.

Passengers and "meeters and greeters" are advised to check their flights' departure and arrival times ahead of travelling to Abu Dhabi International Airport by contacting their respective airlines for flight updates or visit Abu Dhabi International Airport website for contact details and updates.
