'Gravity' wins best cinematographer, film editing Oscars


Los Angeles, March 3 (IANS): Alfonso Cuarón's 'Gravity' won Oscar for the best cinematographer and best film editing at the award ceremony held here Sunday.

Emmanuel Lubezki of 'Gravity' got emotional and thanked his crew and some of his teachers after accepting Oscar for best cinematographer.

The director along with Mark Sanger received the award for the best film editing soon after Lubezki's acceptance speech.

Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, who star in the film, is about three members of a shuttle crew, who while working outside the craft to repair the Hubble telescope, have a catastrophic encounter with a field of space debris.
