Mangalore, Feb 23:
At least six stunt bikers, belonging to the city-based team Zero Gravity, mesmerized the crowd at St Aloysius College campus here on Sunday, February 23.

The event was part of Media Manthan, which was hosted by the department of Mass Communication and Media Studies (MCMS).

Amidst the roaring crowd, mostly made of youngsters, the bikers performed amazing and risky stunts. For every brilliant move, the crowd responded with applause and screams. The emcee set the event on fire with running commentaries which excited both the stunt bikers and the crowd.

The stunts bikers of the team such as Joel Fernandes, Jupsy Kushalappa, Shodhan Shetty and Anil sent the crowd into a trance. The bikers did everything with their two-wheelers to entertain the crowd, who were anxiously watching the performances around the ring.

Simultaneously, music was played to add more fun and energy to the event. The bikers showed mastery over their machines, some danced keeping the bike on the move, some performed wheeling and so on.

In addition, an ambulance was also ready at the spot in case of emergency.

I see a crushed two wheeler once a week on the highway (17) just reminds me of how dangerous this can be when driven without caution. Interestingly, such accidents are rarely seen on the motorways of western world involving motorists.!!! Let's sit back and enjoy the stunts ,,, but think twice when our dear ones want to attempt such things.

This is ridiculous!! I am not a parent but I feel promoting an event like this in college campus is stupidity. The glaring point to be noted here is that none of the riders are wearing any protective gear other than helmet. Even the best of professional riders who do extreme biking and stunts don't take chances without the proper gear. St. Aloysius College should know better than to allow these kind of activities. I am wondering what if some rider would have got killed or some spectator run over. Then, who would take the responsibility. Youngsters are easily influenced by such things. Extreme biking/stunts are exciting as long as it is done under the guidance of trained professionals with proper protective gear. Hope this does not repeat again and atleast not in the college premises.

First n Foremost St Aloysious college authorities should not hav allowed these stunts to be performed in the College Campus.
Impressionable minds will be trying these stunts at great risk to theirs and others lives and property.
These stunts should be allowed only in Circuses ....As it is we drivers see lots of youngsters driving their two n four wheelers recklessly .....Many young budding lives are lost or they are permanently maimed for life ....
I do hope other educational institutions take note of this....

Congratulations to the bike heroes. You have good skills and control. But one request to the SAC management: Please don't promote these kinds of circus at the college campus, which will certainly thrills many other students to pressurize their parents to buy a bike for them and repeat this circus by themselves. As a parent, I am bit concerned about this.

How can they organize something like this in a college campus? No riders security robe? No doubt its thrilling, but not at the cost of one's injury and life. NCC cadet, if he is dancing, then its a big shame for the uniform. The college must take note of this activity

why are these stunts done in colleges? and what is it that they are trying to convey?
I dont have anything per day, against these stunts being performed, except, that, FIND a place to do all this. Not in colleges, where they can make others fantasize to do the same things on the roads

Performing stunts with Only helmets is height of Stupidity, if they crash they will be hurt badly. Also noticed an Air Wing Cadet dancing with Full Uniform , 6 Air SQN officers should take note of it. NCC uniform should be respected. Promoting these kind of unsafe activity without proper safety equipment will put youngsters in harms way. I hope St. Aloysius College will take note of this.
