'Nirel' movie released in Abu Dhabi with three shows

Abu Dhabi, Feb 22: After tasting huge success in its premiere release in Dubai last week, 'Nirel' Tulu movie was released in Abu Dhabi Friday February 21 with 2 shows in Eldorado Cinema in the city and 1 show in Grand Cinema, Mussafah.

The first show in Eldorado Cinema was inaugurated at 1 pm by Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha president Sarvotham Shetty in the midst of other guests and prominent personalities by lighting the lamp along with the 'Nirel' production team and artistes. The show went houseful and a few had to return home without disappointed.

While the second show was going on in Eldorado Cinema, there was one more show in Grand Cinema Safeer Mall, which was specially inaugurated Sarvotham Shetty along with the star cast of Nirel along with their production team.

All the three shows were successfully screened and appreciated by the audience who eagerly came to the theatres much ahead of the start of the show.

"I thoroughly enjoyed the show and should say that this is the first ever Tulu movie which is rich in quality. MY mother who came on a visit also enjoyed watching Dubai scenes in it," said Jyothi who works in Abu Dhabi. 

"Superb movie, we enjoyed a lot, thank you Nirel team," said Girish who works for Ford in Mussafah. "'Nirel' is a very nice movie and for the first time I saw a quality film in Tulu...thanks to Nirel team," said Sandeep Rao who works for NMC in Abu Dhabi.

Shekar Shetty, MD of Arab Udupi Group of Restaurant distributed 'Boondi Laddu' to the entire audience of the first show in Eldorado Cinema as a personal gesture specially because he liked the movie.  His said the movie is worth watching again and again and that he came to see the film for the second time with his daughters.

Due to popular demand there will be one more show in Dubai on February 28 at Golden Cinema, Bur Dubai at 4.30 pm. 'Nirel' will be released in Muscat on March 7 and also in other theatres elsewhere in Gulf. 

It will also be released in Mangalore by next week and the theatre details will be announced soon, as per the production team. Also plans are afoot to release the movie in many theatres in Dakshina Kannada, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Nasik, Gulf, Canada and Australia.

    A small correction, the show on 28th February in Dubai is postponed to March and the date will be announced soon. This is due to the theatre's prior commitment with another movie.
