Mangalore: Youth with minor girl assaulted by four, police take suo motu action

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (DV)

Mangalore, Feb 21: In what appears to be a case of moral policing, a youth was allegedly assaulted by a group of four at Suratkal beach here on Friday February 21, for being with a minor girl from another community.

The youth, 21-year-old Nisar, was admitted to a hospital in Suratkal and later shifted to another hospital in the city. He is said to be in the ICU in an unconscious state.

Sources said that Nisar had gone to the beach with a girl who is said to be a minor. Four youths who came to know about it approached him at the beach and allegedly assaulted him.

The police on receiving information rushed to the spot and shifted Nisar to a nearby hospital. As his condition was serious, he was brought to a private hospital in the city and admitted to its ICU.

Nisar's mother and aunt who were in hospital said that they did not know who attacked Nisar and that only he would be able to reveal their identities.

When a police inspector came to the hospital in connection with the case, Nisar's mother and aunt urged him to investigate the incident thoroughly and arrest the culprits without delay, and threatened to commit suicide if their demand was not met.

Although no formal complaint has been registered, the police have taken suo motu action and arrested four persons. Their identities are not yet divulged.

Nisar is pursuing a computer course at Suratkal and also has a part time job of distributing newspapers.

Sources said that a few days back his cousin was also attacked by miscreants over some issue.

It is learnt that the parents of the minor girl are contemplating filing a complaint against Nisar.

If the MINOR girl walked to the beach on her own two feet, then the MAJOR parents of the MINOR girl should be booked by NISAR! The MINOR girl should be taught the 'MAJOR's culture and she should abide by them.

If the MINOR girl was carried in arms by the MAJOR NISAR, then yes, he should be booked, not for carrying a MINOR but for carrying anybody against their will, MAJOR or MINOR.

Then comes the MAJORITY vs MINORITY issue. I hope the two recently killed (or motivated to suicide) wive's of the MAJOR's also get justice! We all are focusing on MAJORITY/MINORITY issues and not HUMANITY issues. So much for the FORWARD / EDUCATED DK community.

This case is nothing related to the girl as this being portrayed. This some kind of grudge that was taken. If we notice his uncle was also attacked recently. So this is not a case of a minor girl.

    Hi MG, mlore

If the girl is an adult, again, it depends whether she is already married to someone or not...

But, one thing I observed here (by seeing disagree to my comment) that many in Mangalore still do not mind the injustice to a minor girl...

May god bless them girl child, so that they can at least realise the feel of the protection to be given to a minor girl....

I don't agree with Ahmed if he try to convince the people who comment and comment to see that people agree with him. But the reality is different. It is the money and power that you need to fall in love with a girl from different community. You need not to be a Filmy.See the so called famous MP Shahanawaz Hussein and Naqwi abbas, both are married to Hindu women.

    Langoola...
As we already know 'When you Fall-
you Fall. It's a Free Fall. It's only when you are caught in a beach it's Free for All.
Our times we were lucky. All this was not there. It would not go beyond the 'boy and girl'. Girl at the best said 'Phirki' if she did not like the boy. Now after all
    'Ghirki','Phirki' starts.
Our day's 'Pure Tuppa Dosa' now 'Mixed Tasteless Pizza'....
Our times...'Accha Tho Hum Chalte Hain..Phir Kabh Miloge?
    Now..."Chintaa Taa Chitaa Chitaa
Chintaa tha Tha..Dhoom Dhoom Machaale' Nonsense.

I asked the lyric writer by the way.....Chintaa Tha Tha Chitaa Chitaa means what?
Simple he said.... 'Chinte brings Chitaa' 'Worry brings Funeral Pyre' he explained in Kannada. Very shrewd this man! In 'Hindi' people danced like mad without knowing the meaning!
