Bishop Dr Aloysius discusses welfare of minorities with CM

Bangalore, Feb 19: Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza held a meeting with Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah in Bangalore on Wednesday, February 19 to discuss about the development and welfare of minorities in Mangalore.
Bishop Dr Aloysius D'Souza requested the CM to extend help to children from financially poor families for their educational and various other needs, and to provide more facilities to the minorities through the state Minority Commission.
He also urged the CM to provide help in building a shrine in memory of Pope John Paul II in Bajpe, the place he had visited during his tenure as Pope. Moreover, this year, Pope John Paul II will be declared as Saint.
Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza along with MLA J R Lobo, minister for forest, environment and ecology Ramanath Rai, Fr William, Walter Monteiro, Pius Pinto, Fr Leo D'Souza and others honoured CM Siddaramaiah with a shawl.
