Udupi: Bajrang Dal activists vandalise Vinay Kumar Sorake's office

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (UM)

Udupi, Feb 15: In an incident suspected to be related to the VHP-Bajrang Dal protest held at Brahmavar on Saturday February 15, a group of five persons vandalised the office of district incharge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake the same evening at Hiriadka here.

It is said that among the group of five, four are identified as Prasad Kondari, Santosh Kondari, Sujith Kondari, and Prajwal.

The four of them allegedly smashed Sorake's name plate, threw it on the ground and stamped it. The miscreants also pulled out the shutters and used abusive language to criticise Sorake, it is learnt.

A complaint in this regard was filed by Prashant Kumar, who works at Sorake's office.

Sources said that the five of them were Bajrang Dal activists and that their attack was related to the protest held earlier in the day at Brahmavar to demand release of Goraksha Dal chief Dinesh Mendon.

Hiriadka police have registered a complaint and a search for the accused is on.

Unfortunately, there is a big chunk of these useless fellows, who are actually born losers. To hide from the misery of their failed lives they take shelter under religion . These acts heal their self ego which has been otherwise tattered .......hope they realize one day what rotten scum they actually are.

My dear politician’s, we are the AAM Nagarik of D.K n Udupi feel unsecured in our districts. We are not able find any sort of law & order here. If there is a small misunderstanding between two persons of two different communities will become a big CHARCHA (not chai pe charcha) of the day."Gossip is the devil’s weapon, it destroys communities". It spreads like wildfire & makes us suffer. Dear political leaders, Why in the hell, Your own affiliated groups are out of control in such situations??. What in the hell you guys are doing there???. We all still remember, the "well known" Parivar has sought to disturb social peace in Dakshina Kannada district. For the first time in our history, in 2006, curfew was imposed following communal rioting between Hindus and Muslims.

My request to all, while maintaining our identity, we need to involve with each other so that we get a better understanding & it is a path to know each other’s culture too. Before concluding, Dear Political Leaders, please stop misusing the power of youth. Bring them to the mainstream & deploy them into their right carrier. Always remember D.K people are endowed with intelligence, never ever try us to fool. We know the Power of VOTE, if you are elected by us then it’s your duty to serve us. Our expectations are, some sort of development has to happen in your constituency (Water, Road, Electricity & Shelter, etc ...). If you are not able to provide these basic things, then please don’t stand for election. Be aggressive in your system, not in creating riots.
Do well for our nation after all it’s your MOTHER too. We are not expecting miracles from you ……….. Bharat Mata Ki Jai.

Sign of things to come if BJP comes to power. After all, what can we expect from a party which didn't spare ex MP Ehsan Jafery.

This act of mindless violence and extremism must be condemned and the perpetrators thrown in jail, because such violence has no place in a civilized society.

A Robber cannot be innocent. Mr. Dinesh was arrested on robbery charges. May be he is innocent for cow protectors because he is the leader of Gorakshak Dal. According to law, a Robber is a Robber, whether he is Gorakshak or GO Raakshas.

You mean to say brandishing AK47 rifle by MP Ehsan Jafery at common public during Gujarat Riots was OK but unfortunate death of same MP caused by same people was not OK correct? Have some courage to write wrong doing of concerned person too Dear NM. His death was decided by GOD not by any common public!!!

Sachidanand - Its a pity that you are so misinformed or probably you have been reading some radical newspaper.

Ex MP. Ehsan Jaferi's death that day was not decided by god but by by radical brainwashed Sanghis extremists.

It was well reported that they had gas cylinders placed along the wall and set afire… resulting in an explosion that damaged the almost two-feet thick compound wall.He said some from the mob scaled the almost 20-foot wall by rope. Seeing the mob attacking the complex, Jafri began to make calls to police officers and political leaders who did not respond. When nothing seemed to work, witnesses saw Jafri opened fire on the mob and injured a few people in self-defense. Then he offered the mob money, pleading for them to spare him and the others.

Get a fact check done and avoid twisting facts to suit your convenience.

OK, let us believe your part of the story too, but you never mention regarding AK47 rifles nor you shed your tears for Godhra Hathya Khand too. When retaliation happens, it’s called radicalism, but why did dangerous communal started the fire on Godhra train? 48 people died on that fateful date were terrorists? People who involved in that carnage was Desh Premi? If you start questioning on this type of issues we have many questions still unanswered by those Desh Premis till date…….

Let us get the facts straight. The MP had a gun, but according to credible reports he neither wanted nor used it or brandished it. He called police chiefs, home ministry and everyone he could think of to get the law enforcement to respond but to no avail. And now, these hooligans spread the rumor that he had a AK47! and there are gullible who believe these lies and justify the genocide. God save India and its people!

    Dear Dr.Shankarnarayan,
Putting an end to goondaism is like trying to douse a forest fire. Not an easy task.
Anti social elements will always try to defame Govt. by setting fire to forests
But at least we come to know who are they, destroying our nation.
They have to be identified and tackled politically.

    1. Then why are they are demanding
    release of Goraksha Dal chief
    Dinesh Mendon?
    2. Then why they didn't attack
    police for not taking action
    when "Shirva minor girl
    assault case"
    3. If the attackers are congress
people, let the police take action on them, why should BJP supporters decry police action?

Robbers on a rampage. Bear in mind that the original vandalizing was a protest against the arrest of a self styled "Go Rakshasa". The arrest was for robbery charges. Now everybody should know how these people earn a living (by robbery of course) and if caught, the monkey brigade will go on a rampage to protect their way of life!. Do not be surprised if they might be joined in their protest by some "seers" and leaders as well.
