Puttur, Feb 14: A youth from Kalpane near Uppinangady has alleged that he was forcibly taken to a lodge and coerced into participating gay sex.

The victim, who earns a living by applying grease to vehicles at Uppinangady, said he was waiting for vehicle by the roadside on Thursday February 13, when the incident occurred.

The youth was to travel to Kootelu, and for that purpose, was waiting for a vehicle at the bypass road, when a Maruti Omni vehicle approached him. The driver of the van promised him to drop at Kootelu.

“In addition to the driver, two more persons were in the van. They posed life threats to me, and took me to a lodge in Uppinangady. They compelled me to consume alcohol, after which the van driver forcibly indulged in gay sex with me,” he said in a police complaint.

The youth, who then escaped from the lodge, complained to Uppinangady police. The policemen found that the accused driver had given his identity as 'Narayan from Puttur' while renting a room in the lodge. The police have begun investigation into the complaint.
