Media Release

Kuwait, Feb 12: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) is completing 25 glorious years of its existence this year. KCWA is an organization of Catholics hailing from different parishes of Mangalore and Udupi diocese, presently residing in the State of Kuwait.

A seed that was sown by KCWA founder members Francis Misquith, Elias Saldanha, the late Charles Vaz and the late Johnny Misquith in July 1988 with a mission and a vision to help in the upbringing of unprivileged children and families, has today grown into a gigantic tree. Over the years, the KCWA has generated donations of approximately Rs 2.8 crore towards education and humanitarian needs in India and Kuwait, a major share of which is directed towards the cause of education for children in the rural areas in Karnataka.

A year-long celebration of various activities and events, which commenced in July 2013 to mark KCWA's 25th anniversary, will culminate with a mega event on April 25, 2014. Preparations are underway for the mega celebration and entertainment unlimited is in store for its audience.

Well-known artistes from Mangalore will enthrall the audience with a musical show called ‘Retro to Metro’.

The internationally renowned Konkani drama “Aami Nathlyaa Vellar” by Daiji Rang Mandir – Dubai will also be staged during this occasion.

Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, bishop of Udupi diocese will be the chief guest of the event.

More details about the event will be announced on daijiworld.com and www.kcwakuwait.org in the coming days.

Congratulations to this organization for completing 25 successful years. The theme is "In pursuit of ensuring primary education for poor children" which is very meaningful. KCWA is helping for education as well as for needy people for medical help depending on their financial condition. it is every human duty to help one another whenever one has the opportunity to this noble job. any one can help or do charity by using such organizations. Forget the differences among the people and help as much as people and one can feel peace within him which anyone cannot express. When you will give something, you will get something in different forms may be peace or good health. I wish all the success to KCWA, which is going to celebrate 25 years along with many programs, may you get lot of donors in the intention of helping many poor people in the present and future and be unite all our catholics in this canara region.

Congratulations KCWA on your 25th Anniversary Celebrations. You deserve the grand celebrations. You had achieved so many records to your credit. Every time new steps with an unique idea. Thanks to the Current President Mr. Anil Fernandes and his strong team for having implemented new ideas in the year long programs. Wonderful idea to include a sensational drama “ Ami Nathllya Velhar” & a melodious Retro to Metro. Its right to thank all the past presidents & their teams for their dedicated service which helped to maintain a strong record. If KCWA opens its record, its contribution towards education on an average is Rs.3111/- per day, Rs.93,330/- per month, Rs.11,20,000/- per year & Rs. 2,80,00, 000/- for the past 25 years. WHAT A WONDERFUL ACHIEVEMENT !!!. Let THE ALMIGHTY BLESS ALL THE KCWAIANS & ITS DONORS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT THROUGH OUT THE YEARS. Long Live KCWA.
