Mangalore, Feb 12: Veteran Congress leader B Janardhan Poojary, along with MLA J R Lobo and others visited the house of Jeevan Bangera, in Bokkapatna. Bangera was a Congress worker and a painter by profession who lost his life after he slipped down three floors while at work. Poojary and Lobo and handed over a compensation cheque of Rs 60,000 to the kin of the deceased on Tuesday February 11.
Offering solace to the family of Bangera, Poojary asked them to use the compensation in the right way. He directed the wife of the deceased to give good education to her daughter and said that he would support them in meeting her educational needs.
He also visited the house of Purushotham Kotian, who has been suffering from cancer and gave him Rs 8,000 to help him with his medical needs.
Leaders Shashidar Hegde, Harikrishna Bantwal, T K Sudhir, Mohan Shetty, Kamalaksha Salian, Dennis D’Silva, Jayakar Samarth, Ganesh Kumble, Yashawanth Bolar, and Shashiraj were present.
