Kundapur: One dead as ambulance hits bike and two rickshaws at Shiroor

Kundapur/Bhatkal, Feb 11: One person was killed and two seriously injured in a serial accident involving an ambulance that took place near the bus stand in Shiroor here on Tuesday February 11.
The deceased has been identified as Chandra Gonda (26).
The 108 ambulance was plying on NH 66 from Kundapur towards Bhatkal. The ambulance driver, in order to avoid collision with an approaching vehicle, veered the ambulance and lost control, hitting a bike, and then ramming into auto rickshaw and a goods rickshaw that were parked on the side of the road.
The impact was such that Chandra, who was riding the bike, died on the spot.
Nagaraj Gonda who was riding pillion with Chandra and Mohammed Ghouse who was in auto rickshaw sustained severe injuries. They were rushed to Manipal hospital.
Byndoor police have registered a case.
