Doha: Talents showcased at KSQ's 'Chow Chow Bath' show

Doha, Feb 8:  Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ), a premier socio-cultural organization of Kannadigas living in Qatar and affiliated with Indian Embassy in Doha celebrated “Karnataka Chow Chow Bath” at Al Maha Boys School auditorium, Salwa in the presence of jam-packed Kannadiga audience on Friday February 7.

The evening began with a melody song from Thufail Matheen followed by briefing on Safety by the KSQ vice president Nageshwar Rao.

HK Manju welcomed the gathering and briefed about the programme. KSQ Dynamic president Deepak Shetty addressed the gathering and wished the very best to all the participants of the 'Chow Chow Bath'.

Savious Crasta and Manunath kept the audience entertained with their mimicry and rib tickling jokes, this part was hosted by Hemavathi Lakappa.

KSQ Dancers Venkata Rao, Sushma, Krutika, Sridhar and Hemanth danced to the tunes of beautiful numbers, this part of the event was hosted by Sunil Kamalaksha.

N Manjunath spoke on the occasion of Jagali Katte and delivered the note about how important Kannada language is for the present generation also requested parents to stress the importace of the language to their children and to keep Kannada alive all over the world, also he kept the audience live by his Kannada proverbs and jokes and he proved himself as one of the Kannada pandits.

There was an overwhelming response for the dumb charades and this was won by Manju and Madhok Prasad, Ramesh KS and Tulasi Prasad bagged by first runners up and Savious Crasta and Stephen D’souza were the second runners up. This event was hosted by the multi talented and former president of KSQ Arun Kumar.

Attraction of the evening was Adarsha Dumpathi competition in which more than twenty couples took part. Once again Manju and Madhok Prasad won the title Mahesh and Suchithra were the first runners up and Lakshmesh and Chaitra were the second runners up. This part of the event was hosted by the KSQ Former president Aravind Patil and Roopa Pramod. Both kept the show lively and humours.

On the occasion 'Hemmeyinda Karnataka' book was released by the Bunts Qatar president and philanthropist Ravi Shetty, KMCA president Niyaz Ahmed, KSQ president Deepak Shetty, senior Citizen Syed Abdul Hye, Community Activist Iqbal Manna, KTWA president Asmath Ali, KSQ former president Arvind Patil, KSQ vice-president Nageshwar Rao, KSQ past president V S Mannangi, and Irfan Shariff.

The book gives information about Karnataka and Kannadigas spread across the GCC.

The evening concluded with Thufail Matheen delivereing the vote of thanks.

Safari Hyper market was the main sponsor of the evening and on this occasion they promoted their new range of MTR products.
